Isn't that the sort of thing you usually keep to yourself?

I have one Jap. Firebelly Newt. She stays at home while I'm off at school. Will try and get a pic up Friday or Sat.

I did not think those were in Virginia. You must be from the lower part of the state, or somewhere. BUT before I moved to South Carolina I used to live in Stafford.

I think I flipped that in James City County, Virginia.   It was only about 1.5-2 inches long.  Looks big, though.

What you do Micro actually looks fun. Taking pictures of animals like that. I might do that one day in a state park along the creek. I'm sure I will come across many animals not just herps that I can take a picture of with out disturbing them.

If it's a reptile, I disturb them.  I usually try to catch most of the snakes I find.   I almost always release them on the spot.

I had a good encounter one day middle of the day i seen a snake up a small tree was hoping it was a rat snake i couldnt tell from  (sun was blinding me) the ground so i climb up it got about a foot away from him with MY FACE as soon as i seen it was a racer he struck at me catching my ear pretty good i had blood flowing like i lost my ear I LOVE SNAKES

Hmm. Thats something Im not going to try. Im more of a snail type "hunter" Ive got a creek in my backyard and get many caught. Always release them too. I love skinks too. I photograph birds.
