Snake Identification

Featured Replies

I found this snake on the side of the road today. I wasn't completely dead yet but had been run over. I was wondering what kind of snake this is. Here are some pictures.

half dead snake ;D  I don't know, but it is pretty. I am thinking about getting another snake. Maybe a ball python.

I think it had just gotten run over probably less than 5 minutes before I came across it. I was walking my dog and was actually on my way back and I didn't see the snake the first time I passed this spot. I grabbed a stick to move it and when I gave it a good nudge it started twirling like an alligator will (death roll) and then it stopped and didn't move again. This snake was very close to water. It is a very pretty snake.

They are absolutely gorgeous snakes.  Their metallic eyes are stunning.  Pigs have a reputation among snake-enthusiasts as having an extremely fast and accurate strike.

Their camouflage is near perfect as well. They are amazing little creatures.

I had a ball python.  They are very good as pets.  I wish more people understood snakes in general and maybe they would try to avoid them iwith their cars instead of trying to collect ten points.
