Hey Muddy, how many of the quotes attributed to Yogi do think he actually uttered?  My guess is that this "Yogi speak" thing took on a life of its own.

He wrote a book called THE THINGS I NEVER SAID, in the end he copped to most of them ;D

He was being given the keys to the city, the presenter was then Mayor John Lindsay, accompnied with his wife. Lindsay was a clothes horse and wanted all on stage to wear suits and dresses.

It was over 90 degress for dress rehersal and Mrs. Lindsay was worried about Yogi, who hated to wear suits, and he looked pale.

Later that day, before the actual ceremony a huge T Storm caused a drastic lowering of both temp and humidity. When Yogi got onto the stage Mrs. Lidsay said to Yogi" You look much more comfortable now"

Yogi, being Yogi replied" You don't look so hot yourself!"

"The towels were so thick there I could hardly close my suitcase."
