Unimaginable class

You've heard about the Marine F/A-18 that crashed into a house near Miramar, California, killing a young mother, her two children and the grandmother. Perhaps you've seen the father, a Korean immigrant, on television who said of the pilot, "I pray for him not to suffer for this action, I know he's one of our treasures for our country."

I don't know about you, but I don't think I could muster that kind of strength. The man showed unimaginable class.

Agreed.  Sounds like a very good man.

I saw the interview and like you, thought his response was

remarkable. In this day and age, outrage, anger and hate

is all we expect to hear. Truely amazing.

8-)

The lawyers didn't get to him soon enough.

But seriously, that is cool.  I hadn't come across that story yet

That's amazing. Like you said, unimaginable class.

Wow, that takes heart.

This made me tear up.  What dignity, grace, and class that man exhibited!  Too often as a society we automatically point fingers and find blame.  Perhaps as an immigrant he hadn't had time to acquire that nasty habit.  Or maybe he still has gratitude for the freedoms/luxuries so many of us take for granted.

no way! logic and common sense?!?!? in the news?!!?! :o

I thought the same thing when I heard that on the radio.

I read about this in the stars and stripes newspaper over here.  What an amazing man to still think of others in the face of such a personal tragedy.

An amazing guy.

We need to hear of more people like that in the news more often.
