People actually watch the halftime show ? :-?

To me it seems like Kid Rock and the Superbowl are a perfect match. I'd love to see Kid Rock do the halftime show.

I definitely needs to be somebody fresh and energetic for a change.

They don't come any more drunk, untalented and old news than Charlie Daniels! Unless you are judging them by political stance rather than talent.

Why not Wynton Marsallis, Stevie Wonder or Dr.John for that matter. These are some of the most musically respected musicians in the world today!

I saw Stevie Wonder for the first time in my life last summer.  Without a doubt, his voice is still very clean.  Stevie is timeless.  I mean he wasn't dancin' like Little Stevie Wonder, but he sure sounded like him.

I honestly don't understand how people listen to her.  She has the most fake, forced, purposely twangy singing voice I've ever heard.

I agree with Glenn on Ms. Underwood.  Every song sounds about the same.  She wears waaay too much makeup as well.  I bet I could carve my initials in the foundation on her face.

Plenty of times. I went to college on the IN/KY border. Most of my buds were from TN and KY, so we took roadtrips quite often.  I just don't care for her voice, too fake and forced for me, and I'm a sucker for southern girls. It's like she's saying to herself, 'ok now, sound country, sound country.'

Yea, a lot of the ladies in these parts have a feed bag as part of the dowry. ;D Don't get me wrong, I love curves and hips, but there is a point.....

Springsteens 2 major influences growing up were: Elvis and Woody Guthrie, he knows the Guthrie catalog by heart and is very well read on Guthries life and times. It is probably why he spends so many resources on hunger and unions.

 I stopped listening to his music a long time ago, but I have a lot of respect for the work he does in these areas, and he does it quietly.

I agree with Muddy - it's all about PR and Marketing anymore than talent. But for me, Prince was awesome. Tremendous songwriter, producer AND a musician too boot. That mix just doesn't seem to work anymore in music. He is the last of his kind.

Agree, Kid Rock would be a great show.
