Almost at the breaking point...

Got our W-2's today, did a few quick calculations.

Going to have to pay again. What the hell does the government want from me?

Already claiming 0 on both W-4's and am actually witholding more from my check. >:(

I guess I should be thankful they let me keep what they do.

They, the gov't, would take EVERYTHING, if they could.

It's not their money, IT'S YOURS! They didn't earn it, you did.

They should be grateful you're giving them as much as you do.

We sure have regressed from the days of tax rebellions when the country was founded.

My father always said the worst thing the government did was to automatically deduct taxes

from your paycheck all year long. If people had to sit down and write that check at the end of the year,

they would have

rebelled against the tax rates years ago. You get used to that auto deduction. You don't miss what you never had.

Buck up Burley.  The upside is that some of your money may be going to ACORN.

I did my taxes and I'm asking for a bailout money from Obama.  Hell, they'll give it to everybody else

Your tax dollars buy more bombs, isn't that cool?!?!

The Might of the Roman Empire couldn't do it, the might of the Union Army couldn't stop the Confederacy ,The superiority of the Nazi Army in the early days of the war couldn't do it, The threat of atomic annihilation during the cold war certainly was no deterrent for war,and needless to say all the conflict today, on a global theater  shows that all the bigger and mighty armed countries can not do it, so I would say that theory has been proven to at least be suspect :-?

Zero of those are cases in which one side had an "overwhelming" advantage over the other.

And I should clarify that I am talking about a unipolar system of power that we have now, not the systems we had in the past.
