What do you think GM's  Onstar system is ? It's already here. Maybe that's how they'll pay back their bail out money, by helping Uncle Sam collect taxes via Onstar ::)

You are already taxed on your mileage.  About .50 per gallon.

The REV is coming--And I don't mean the engine sound. >:( >:( >:(

**MODERATOR NOTE**

Keep in mind we have a no politics policy around here.  ;)

Talk about putting a hurt on fishing, I know I wouldn't be doing anymore of my club tournies most likely.  Heck the closest lake we fish is 50 miles away with most closer to 100+.

Not true. They migrated from Europe not to avoid taxes, they migrated in search for religious freedom.

Heavy taxation without representation was the cause of the American Revolution.

Raul is indeed correct.

I mean don't get history wrong, heavy taxes and poor economy in England was hard on people, but religious got them to flee to the New World.

The found better Economic standard in the New World and choice to practice new Religious.

Heavy taxation without representation was the cause of the American Revolution.

The most important reasons for the colonization and immigration of North America were

Economic Hardship, especially for non land owners in Europe

Religious Persecution

Slavery and Indentured Slavery; Frequently overlooked but as much as 18% of the population can be traced this way

Famine and Illness that was prevalent in Europe

you can find many scholarly and peer reviewed articles and many of those useless History courses have many cited notations making these observations
