My friend and I decided after class to take jet ski out and do some wakeskating. (wakeboard without straps on board) We get to ramp, we park next to the ramp and unstrap the jet ski, put plug in, etc. Right when I get into the truck to back my friend down the ramp, some f-150 with a MASSIVE pontoon pulls up next to me...I'm like okay you better stopped, but NO this guy pulls out in FRONT OF ME and continue to straighten out his trailer. I watch in shocked thinking this guy was going to stop and let me go and back down. I thought wrong. Whatever medication this guy is on, he back down the ramp straight down the middle which means I cannot back the ford expedition next to him and put jet ski in..... > > My blood boiling my mind is shouting "you got to be freaking kidding me!" Along with some obscene gestures.

I waited 5 minute for 3 old guys to unstrap a pontoon in middle of the ramp and back it into the water..

Are you freaking serious? What is it with old guys saying us younger boys don't have any respect for the elder? This is fine example that there are disrespectful people in all ages.

Exactly.  Honestly I see older people do it more then younger.  Might be where I fish though.  Its not a age deal.  Its a respect deal or lack of respect.  That is one way to get me upset fast and I typically have alot of patience.

Next time you see his vehicle parked at the lake just give him a free slightly opened bottle of JJ's magic (clear) into his open window.

That or some dog dropping smeared up under the driver's handle door.

Or some zip ties around his driveshaft. When he drives, he'll hear a clicking noise. He stops to investigate, the noise goes away. May take him awhile to figure it out.  

That's our job and when I get up in the mornings I drive to town at 35 mph. This is more fun than being young.

Chill man. Thats probably the first of maybe six trips that cobb is likely to make out there. He probably has no clue about boat ramp edicate.

Maybe he was just getting even for jet skis buzzing him on the previous trip . When I was young enough to water ski we did so - a lot. I also fished with my dad, so I knew to stay away from fishermen. Being a fisherman I know you do the same. Have fun and don't let rude people spoil your day, because the world is full of them - young and old.

X 2, The old do it in a way as if you don't even exist, just totally ingnore you(that may be why they hit people with thier cars) ;D.  The young do it in a way of being loud, and louder, not to mention the other thing.

There is one old dude I run into on Lake Talquin pretty regularly.  He must be close to 80 years old and, if you are fishing where he wants to fish, he will move right in where you are, drop his anchor and start fishing.  

On two different occasions I have called him on it and he just responds, "This is my brim hole."  I pointed out that I was there first and he just repeated that it was his brim hole.

could be anybody.  some people are jerks.  retaliatory action only makes another wrong and he won't put the two together.  yeah, i'd be a little upset, but don't sweat the small stuff.

Whatta roube I might feel a little bad yelling at an 80 year old. Well, I know I would. Heres a little story...

I was at my favorite lake, where I get my big bass and there's this old man there fishing for trout. Well I talk to him a little and he knows I catch some decent fish out of there. He says,"If ye getchy one'a dem bigguns bring em on over so I can see whatta biggun looks like." So I go out and proceed to land my second biggest(record still standing), a solid 23 inch LMB. Id put it at 6.5-7lbs. I figure, what the heck, so I bring it over to where the old man is trout fishing. He takes my bass and says,"this'll make me a good dinner." and he puts it on a stringer >. Alright, I was pretty cheesed but said nothing. Heres the good part, I run in to the dude there about two weeks later and he claims that he tripped walking down the shore going home and dropped the fish+cloth string it was tied to on the ground where it flopped in the water and swam off. I told him I hated to hear that, I guess I kinda did since he didnt get fresh fish and falling down was pretty bad for an old dude like him. Morale of that story: Old people are tricky

im all for a good joke but if im at the lake and i see a perfect stranger laid up under my truck and messing around with it that persons day would get real exciting real quick.
