Hey guys... long time, no see. :)

Me and a few friends are heading down to Dallas for a Clapton concert next week.  We're down there for four days and don't really have a clue what to do. If any of you guys are from Dallas or familiar with the area and know of some "cool" places to go/things to do, speak up.

They have 6 flags over Texas in Arlington.*not far from Dallas*

Don't forget to hit up that little restaurant across the street...If i can remember the name of it and see if it's still there.

They have a desert called "cookie monster" which is a big freshly made cookie with ice cream, whip cream and chocolate syrup. It takes them like 20-25 minutes to make it..but it's worth the wait.

I haven't been there in over 7 years....so i don't know what's all been changed.

Remembered the name of the restaurant...Cheddar's

I spent about 20 years in Dallas...  lots to do, depending on what you like.  (and what you budget looks like!!)  Lots of night life, some culture and arts, probably anything you'd want.  What are you looking for?

http://listings.guidelive.com/   to find restaurants, clubs, live music, etc.

I'm not much of a go out and party type so I can't be too specific.

http://www.ondaweb.com/deep_ellum/dea_nite.html  Deep Ellum is popular for clubs, bars and live music, but it can be a rough area.

Lower Greenville Ave is a tamer version of what you'll find in Deep Ellum...  but still lots of nightlife and some live music as well.

Having played on the blues circuit for a number of years I can tell you, Blues Clubs are not the place for the weak of heart, nor are most neighborhoods they are in 8-)

Well I go into Dallas every week so here's what I do

Fort worth stockyards rodeos every weekend

Bill Bobs biggest honky tonk in the world great place

Gaylord, yes the name is weird but that is a must see place

Six flags and hurricane harbor in Arlington

Texas rangers game $33 all you can eat tickets endless soda

Down town Fort Worth is pretty cool

The Fort Worth zoo much better than the Dallas one

I know a lot of these places aren't in Dallas but there not to far apart try and spend a whole day in Fort Worth

See if they are giving any types of tours of the Cowboys new stadium.
