Need some help naming my kid!!!!

Featured Replies

Well this is kind of a different post but I thought will all the talent on this site we should be able to come up with something.

My wife and I are expecting number two come July and we are having a heck of a time finding boy names that we like. I should say that I'm having a hard time finding ones that I like. She finds all kinds of them but I shoot holes through most of them.

We don't want to have a common name and we would kind of like it to sound good with our sons name, he is two and his name is Dawson, last name is Deutsch(pronounced - Doitch)

I thought I'd see what we could come up with! So let them rip everyone! I've only 3.5 months to figure this out.

Maybe if we can come up with a few we can eventually have a poll! I can see it now in the paper,

"Newborn baby boy named by Bass Fishing Website!"

Thanks guys!

Dave

The ***......666   ;D

Whatever you do, do not name him Mike (Mother and Grandmother say we are awful), and you never want to be thinking about Long Mike.

We have been doing the same thing, but for a girl due end of May (already have a boy named Cal(vin). I went to one of the baby name sites and just spent time rolling through as many as I could before I went blind, the wrote down the ones I liked; then the wife and I discuss them and narrow it down to a shorter list. Every time we hear one we like alot we add it to the short list. We are pretty much set on the girl's name but roll through the list every once in awhile to see if anything else jumps out.

For boy names try Scott, Derek , or Anthony  no of these is well known but not unheard of

For girl names try Lorriane, Taylor, Meggin just my two cents

Rapala? or maybe Senko? JK Just dont name him BRIAN like my name... WAY TO COMMON BRIAN/ RYAN.... = Mess

Dwayne

Dallas

Dillion

(No Offense Gman) but unless you are a Cowboys fan and die hard about it, I recommend against naming a kid Dallas....it's unique and all but I have spent my entire life telling people..."no, I'm not a Cowboys fan, no I'm not from Texas, etc etc etc... plus all of the other "creative" names people come up with to call you...Austin, Texas, Corpus Christi, Kalamazoo....etc....It's a huge target, especially for kids.... ::)

on the plus side, I guess I did develop a bit of a thicker skin....

Thought of some that I really like;

Garrett

Carson

Cole

Trevor

Collin

Conner

wow...guess I really like "C" names....

Some one on here said my name (Derek) meant OIL, thems fight-in words

lol just kidding, I hear that all the time ::)

How about "Schprechen Sie Deutsch"  :)

Alabaster Dwayne Deutsch

Cornelius the Conquistidor

Dragon Deutsch

You can tell my child will get made fun of... especially if I spell alabaster like alabastar d.  ::)

Steez Deutsch

I know what your talking about though man.  The wife and I are having the same issue with our second little girl on the way.  Much like you, she comes up with a lot of names and Im playing duck hunt shooting them down.   We may have one nailed down, but not sure yet.

Francois.

But seriously, you can use either of my son's names: Alec or Clark.
