Stacked card tonight, starts 10pm est. Looking to be one of the best night of fights in the history of UFC. I've got a tournament tonight so I wont see it live but thank goodness for DVR's and buddies who know how to use them. Here's a list of all the fights on the card tonight and my winner predictions are in bold.

Brock Lesnar vs. Frank Mir* *This one might go the other way

George St. Pierre vs. Thiago Alves

Jon Fitch vs. Paulo Thiago

Dan Henderson* vs. Mike 'Big Mouth' Bisping  *GO HENDERSON!

Yoshi Akiyama vs. Alan Belcher

---------UNDERCARD FIGHTS----------

Mark Coleman vs. Stephan Bonnar

Mac Danzig vs. Jim Miller

Jon Jones vs. Jake O'Brien

Don Hyun Kim vs. TJ Grant

CB Dolloway vs. John Lawlor

Matt Grice vs. Shannon Gugerty

We'll see what happens.....

Anybody see the lineup for UFC 101 yet? BJ Penn vs. Kenny Florian and Anderson Silva vs. Forrst Griffin are the top two fights.  :o

I can't argue with any of those predictions, those are the results I am hoping for.

I am pumped, hope I make it back in time for all the fights.

1) Brock Lesnar

2) GSP

3) Jon Fitch

4) Dan Hendo

5) Alan Belcher

------

1) Bonnar

2) Mac

3) JBoneJ

4) Don Hyun Kim

5) CB

6) Matt

I think I'm going to need to order this fight at home today. I love going out to watch fights with other peoples reactions, but seats are going to hard to get.

I can't really argue with any of these predictions either. Maybe Bonnar over Coleman. If GSP beats Alves, IMO, you have to have him ranked as the best in the world pound for pount. Really looking forward to these fights. Definitely a stacked card with the potential for a lot of good fights.

1. Mir

2. GSP

3. Fitch

4. Hendo--Beat the living stuff outta Bisping

5. Sexyama

6. Bonnar--Coleman really needs to give it up. I bet he's already gassed.

7. Miller

8. O'Brien--LNP specialist

9. Dollaway

10. Grice

Very nice card, but Affliction in August is what I'm really pumped for.

Been a great one so far.  Hendo put it on Bisping.  I don't think Bisping still knows what happened.  Best UFC have seen in forever and the Main event is just now starting.....

Up to minute reports would be great!

x2

Pretty awesome night of fights! I didnt get a chance to watch the undercard fights but did catch all the MAincards

Yoshi Akiyama and Alan Belcher was a great fight. Dan Henderson's KO was SICK! Lesnar straight up dominated Mir with his pure strength. Then the GSP vs. Alves fight was super lopsided. I expected GSP to win but not by that much. Then the Fitch Thiago fight was great too.

I think and hope St. Pierre's next fight will definitely be at 185. I just dont see how theres much more for him to acccomplish at 170.

I dont like Lesnar that much but honestly after seeing him demolish Frank Mir i dont think theres anyone in the Heavyweight division that can compete with him right now.

I didn't care for  Lesnar before this fight but now I can't stand him.  That has to be one of the most classless displays I have seen in a long time.  I mean, act like you've been there before.

Still a great card though, and the Hendo KO of Bisping was sick.

I think Shane Carwin, Check Kongo, and Nog, could give Lesnar a run for his money.

War Hendo!  Knockout of the Century.  Anbody else think GSP would make a hell of a strong safety?  Just a great overall athlete.

Lesnar knows how to suck you in and make money. He played the heel to perfection. I have to wonder how much he practiced his little routine. Brock is going to be tough to beat. He's comically larger than everyone else in the UFC to the point that they can't seem to do anything. The one armed immobilizing neck crank thing he had Mir trapped in was a totally new one to me.

Pretty good fights overall, though the three big ones were very one sided. Alves impressed me with his sweeps and ground defense but GSP was too good. I don't sense that killer instinct from GSP though.

Hendo's right hand had been coming that whole fight. Bisping looked like he was afraid that was going to happen from the opening bell.

Also the complaints by the announcers that Belcher got robbed annoyed me. They can be extremely unprofessional sometimes.

That was a very close fight and a split decision one way or the other was fair. That wasn't a "robbery", just a tough call.

I hate to see the UFC Heavy Weight Champ acting like he's still in the WWE (or whatever he was in). It's accepted to talk stuff and act like a jerk in wrestling because it's all an act anyway. The wrestlers talk stuff in the ring and then you see them all out drinking beers together afterwards. Give me a break. There was no call for him to act like that towards Mir at all. Lesnar had his chance to rectify the situation in the post fight interview but he didnt take it and just made things worse. I hope someone comes along and pounds Lesnar real good and does the same thing to him. He's a punk, plain and simple.

I want to give a big "THANK YOU" to Dan Henderson for representing the USA in awesome fashion. No doubt he'll get the Knock Out of the Night bonus money for that one. I was concerned that Bisping may have been seriously hurt after laying on the mat, OUT COLD for that long.

GSP....what else can be said about the guy? He dominates. End of story. Swick next for GSP? Come on, Swick couldn't beat GSP if he took a baseball bat and a friend into the fight. The UFC heads need to arrange GSP vs Anderson Silva, catchweight or otherwise. Things might get stale at 170 & 185 if they dont.

Coleman really needs to give it up.  I bet he's already gassed.

Glad to hear Coleman got another win.   Bye bye Bonnar!

I am glad to see someone not being vanilla, and pc about things. Mir was acting like a fool before the match with some very childish taunting in interviews and such. When you taunt someone who is bigger and better then you don't expect them to pc after pounding you.  Lesner should have won the first one if it was not for an idiot ref who made a habit of screwing up big matches.

Ya got me on Coleman, FBL.  He looked like a dead man walking at 205 during the Shogun fight.  Guess I shouldn't have written him off so soon.  Really woulda liked to see this fight over Fitch v Thiago.

Yeah, Fitch fight was a snoozer. I love the grappling aspect of MMA but after 15 minutes of rolling around, it would have been nice to see one of them pull off a submission. Same with the GSP fight.

Did you miss all the Lesnar comments? Thats how they build up the fight. The trash talking is done BEFORE the fight and respect is shown afterwards. Lesnar has no class.

When you taunt someone who is bigger and better then you don't expect them to pc after pounding you.

Again, was Mir the only one talking trash? Lesnar's been talking trash since before Mir beat him the first time. Then Mir hurt his feelings in the first fight so he turned up the volume on the trash talking. Mir is as cocky as they come but he gives respect when he's beaten fair and square. Unlike Lesnar.

Lesner should have won the first one if it was not for an idiot ref who made a habit of screwing up big matches.

Life is full of "should have's". Lesnar "should have" known that if he made a mistake (against someone with Mir's background) that he'd get submitted. I will say that he learned a valuable lesson in the first fight. Get Mir down, lay on him like a blanket and hit him several times. It worked just like he planned....but he still didnt need to rub it in afterwards. Nobody else who fought last night did that....you know, the fighters with class.

Decent fights for sure.

Lesner--wow..what a d-bag. Looks like Dana White addressed the situation instantly:

http://sports.yahoo.com/mma/news?slug=dw-lesnar071209&prov=yhoo&type=lgns

GSP-I agree with what has already been said. I do not think there is ANYONE at 170 that can beat him. I wouldn't put it past Dana White to be working towards a GSP/Silva fight. Sidenote: Silva fights Griffen on August 8th. If Silva wins that, what is next for him? Title shot @205?

Hendo-Awesome KO..however, that last punch was a bit much. It was clear that his eyes were rolled back in his head. And then to boast about it when interviewed by Rogan didn't really show a lot of class..

This is a great quote from Lesnar.

First and foremost I want to apologize, Lesnar said. I acted very unprofessionally after the fight. I screwed up and I apologize. I apologize to Bud Light. I'm not biased, I drink any beer.

I'm glad Dana White lit up Lesnar after the fight. He needed to be knocked off his horse by the boss. That WWE stuff, shooting the crowd the bird, humiliating opponents and dissing sponsors isn't going to cut it.

It's really good to hear the UFC is going to make a major push to sign Fedor soon.

I like lesnar but truthfully fedor is the only man that can stop lesnar .When randallman suplexed fedor on his neck/head and still didnt faze Fedor and still lost  i was like HOLY SHYT ..lesnar has nothing to stop him either.Lesnar is smart using brute strenght. It works great when you can control a person . Fedor is watching lesnar  this is his territory and HE knows brock is gonna try to GNP .And Fedor is going to use that to his advantage .I say it will be a long match with fedor wearing him out ON bottom and submitting him

five.bass.limit Lesner is smart and he was doing his job. He is now 10X more valuble. Remember what an Ahole Ali was? he was the biggest jerk with the biggest mouth and now everybody calls him the greatest. Brock is playing the bad guy. There realy isnt many villans in MMA. That just makes him that much more valuble. The more he is disliked, the more evrybody will want to see him loose. Its a perfect fit for him. His openents will just about always be smaller and be the underdogs. The crowd will always cheer against Lesnar. Why not make the most of it? Just like in Boxing, people want to see exciting fighters. the bottom line is Lesner is the modern day Tyson or Ali. He will make Dana even more rich then he is now. I wouldnt be suprised if Dana patted brock on the back afterwards once the camers were gone.

Now if lesner acts like that in his regular life outside the ring then thats a different story but I bet he is completley different

Matt, yeah, I read the article too. People who follow MMA on a regular basis can read through the lines though. Dana White wants the fights/fighters/UFC represented in a respectful manner as to deter all the haters and pessimists. The bad guy act is fine for scripted entertainment (WWE), not a true bloodsport that continually has to show its worth to the world. And I dont care who you are, throwing up two middle fingers to a crowd full of people is kinda lame.

Ummm....thats kinda the reason he got kicked out of WWE. You gotta be a real punk to get kicked out of the WWE.

But whatever. I'm done with the Lesnar debate. I follow the sport religiously and I dont like the guy. Big deal. Some people will find reasons to like him, I wont be one of them.

Was great night.  One of the best UFC's in a while.

I don't have a problem with Hendo's last hit.  Don't like it when guys get pounded like that, but I go back to when I started playing football and one of the first things you learn is go 100% until the whistle blows.  Or in this case, until the ref stops it.  Just the nature of contact sports.  How many times have we seen guys that look like they are out, only to damage the other guy - I'll give it though, Bisping was OUT!

As far as Lesnar, I understand he was still amped up, but that was very low class getting back in Mir's face.  Reminds me of something Tyson would do towards the end.  Totally low class.  However, I had more of a problem with Lesnar not touching gloves at the beginning.  That's just a showing of respect to your opponent.  To turn your back is beyond a lack of class.

Do I like Lesnar?  Don't know.  He makes it hard to like and respect him.  I think he has a ton of God given athletic ability.  To me he is as much a gifted athlete as GSP - not saying they are the same - just both have extraordinary athletic ability.  I just wish Lesnar would drop the WWE crap and focus on being a competitor instead of an "entertainer".

Don't know what's ahead for GSP in his class.  Man that guy is amazing.  He and Silva would be good.  I might have to lean towards Silva though.

Yeah, GSP/Silva would be a good one. Silva hasn't really been challenged lately, neither has GSP. I think Henderson may get another shot at Silva first though because he's on a slight roll now and has already made the statement that he wants it.

Dana White came out and said finally that he is going to get Fedor after his last contract fight under Affliction, which is in a few weeks. I sincerely hope he's able to sign Fedor. It would be nice to have an actual Heavy Weight Champion that shows proper respect for the belt, the sport and the fans, unlike the Chump Champ they have now.

Anybody heard anything from Bisping's camp?

I think Bispings camp is still getting ready for the fight and claiming he will be the first guy to KO Hendo. ;D

No, I haven't heard anything, but I do hope everything is okay and he will be back taking beatings soon.
