Has anyone tried this workout program and if so, how is it?

The workouts are really good, very difficult at first and you will get stronger, however if the diet isn't inline, then you will not see the dramatic changes to the look of your body.

Wow!  I just got on here to start a thread about P90X.

I started the program this morning and it about P90Xterminated me.

I'm already in pretty good shape (I run three miles several times a week, six when I have time and feel like it), but I sweated more during this first workout than I do running.  As a one day veteran of the program I can attest to the fact that it's tough.  It's not something you want to do to "get in shape."  But, if you're not a couch potato, give it a try.

BTW, you can buy it used on e-bay for a lot cheaper than you can their website.

Good luck!

i have a copy... make me an offer!! lol.

its REAL intense.

I really like the ab program with the package, but I don't think it's worth it. As long as you are willing to commit to what you do, you will see results. 90 days is a long time to get to where you want to be.

abcbodybuilding.com has everything you need and more and more and more. It's very technical and there's a forum to ask questions if your confused or need help.

Since summer is around, I decided to get back into the gym to look good shirtless.

My workouts are usually 3-4 times a week targeting major muscle groups with compound lifts only in a push to failure routine. Off days I can play ball, run, stretch, swim and do abs or whatever I feel like. The easy part is the hour in the gym, eating right is very hard for someone who is in school and on a limited budget. I also take Whey protein which helps as well.

Check out the site and take the time to explore. I'm sure you'll find out what you need. BTW, the abs program in p90x is INSANE!!!!!

My cousin did it and it worked great.  He is also in his early twenties and is motivated by chasing tale.  He eats like crap though.  If you do some research and workout like a manic and cut the crap I am sure you'll get similar results, but its great to have a dvd series to hold your hand along the way.

I'll be 42 in August and couldn't run around the block if I had to. My cardiovascular SUCKS.  I was in extreme shape in my teens an 20's because of college baseball but that is a thing of the past.  I desperately need to get back into some sort of shape.  A few people at work are using the p90x with great results but they were in good shape before starting.

The hardest part is getting started again after a long lay off from any cardio. You can start by a low intensity jog around the block that will get your heart rate up. Push ups and sit ups at home are excellent as well. Bike rides, swimming, sports such as basketball, tennis, etc etc.

My brother in law and his fiancee are using it and swear by it.

The only REAL workout......

I saw a late night infomercial for that the other night, and couldn't resist stopping to watch.

But p90x is a great workout. Our school bought it for a few of our football players to lose weight with, and everyone of them swears by it.
