Anyone fished with the Yum Forked Tail dingers?  I had a little money to spend with a gift card at Dicks, so I got some tonight.

I picked up  some

Swimming Senko's in black/red flake.

Fat Ika's in Pumpkin/Black

Trick Worms in Green Pumpkin and Black

1/8th oz Spot removers

Forked tail Dingers in Watermelon and Pumpkin/chartreuse tail

and some 1/4 screw lock sinkers.

The only thing I don't really know about(but they sure looked good in the package so I had to have em) is the dingers..so has anyone fished em and are they fished the same as any other stickbait or more flukelike or what?

I would use them the same way as the flukes but that's just me.

I really like to use them on a dropshot rig.  Either just normal or sometimes a little wacky stile but instead of dead center rigging it try to put the hook through the first quarter of it.  It gives a nice action in the water.

let me know how they work, I've been looking at them recently. I've had a lot of success with regular dingers in that pumpkin and chartreuse color.

I used them last year a lot and for some reason I did not get as many bites with the forked ones.  We like to use wacky rigged dingers in the river for smallmouth and usually catch a ton, but we didnt seem to get as many bites with the split tail.

The 4.5" forked dinger out produced both the "regular" dinger, and fluke for me on some days in late summer, I have a good selection now, just another option. I still use flukes, and "regular" dingers more.

I tried the 6in forked Dinger in the Mardigra color and have done well with them.  One thing I did notice is that many of this fish hit the forked part of the bait first and I would miss on the hook set.  Once I figured out the difference between a nip and a bite, it was much easier to set the hook.  

I still like Senkos and the regular Dinger better.

yeah, I already got all the regular stik baits covered...just wanted to switch it up a little a.k.a. spend some more money on lures.

Its too bad that I really won't get a chance to try em out here for at least another month.
