I agree, I would definatley change the wheels, and the gears, a 3.45 is knd of lame.

A friend in school had a 69. Only difference seems to be the chrome around the grill. Nice car.

I love all the time and attention paid to the engine and engine compartment, then they put a bent up K&N right on top to stare you in the face. Jeez guys, take 30seconds and straighten that sucker out.

That would easily be a 10/10...but those wheels make it at most a 6/10. I'd still kill to be able to drive it though!  ;D

I'm with you Redline. Perfect. I even like the wheels. I agree with fourbiz though-it would only take a few seconds to straighten the air filter.

I had a 72 challenger back in the day. The only car I've ever owned that I really liked. Totaled it and a sweet chevelle in one fell swoop. :'( Makes me sad all these years later. :(

that thing is The wheels arent bad at all, think about this, you cant mount factory mopar wheels and poly glas tires on that, with that suspension & HP dialed the way it is the car would be all over the road, thats a perfect match.  I'll bet she's on rails for a big car like that.  Gotta agree they gaffed that air filter..I don't understand?.

I would never touch the gearing...all that HP and gear ratio gives it a nice crusier, that car wasnt made for the 1/4 mile....she was made to run. And run she will. Go for RLR, she's all you Bro ;D

They sold this car.  Lucky for me, they can build another just like it. :)  

I'm done with Italian exotics.  Time for some good ol' US Muscle.  May need to start this project sometime...

By the way, I found the perfect wheels.

 Robert, if you are thinking American, could I recommend one? An original Ford Cobra (not a kit car :P) with the 289 High Performance. Personally, don't know why they changed to a 427. Too much engine for that size car. I know, I know, there was a time that I didn't think you could have too much engine. Probably the only Ford I ever wanted to own ...

 I was a teenager around the time of a lot of these.

Mustangs, Superbees, Chargers, Challengers, Olds 442's, 454 Chevelles, 327 Camaros, Dusters, Cuda's you name it. What a time to be a teenager.

 I rode in a bunch of them during my "2nd" lunch ea day when I was supposed to have been in class. I wasn't a gearhead but I got along with a wide variety of people including the gearheads. Another guy and i "finagled" ourselves into a second lunch period ea day. The teacher didn't know about it of course and we never got caught so all was well.

Re-live my childhood for me Robert go for it.

You might consider a "show" set of tires and a set for "fun" as being a wise investment.

I'm a HUGE fan of the Cobra's.  However $400+ for an original car is some serious dough.  Shelby Automobiles is currently building cars for about $150k.

I rode in a vintage cobra 427 in the late seventies. The acceleration was brutal! After a few zero to 100 blasts, I has to reinsert my eyeballs:)

All that bling and they used an Eagle rotating assembly. ::)

 Man, and I thought they were high dollar back when they were new :o! Glades I am eternally envious (there's no smiley for ***, I looked) :D...
