no.

most periods in time had some type of struggle. ive got a kid in afghanistan, a daughter going to kansas u, and another son in the 8th grade.

heres my worries: whos shooting at my son today. how much is my daughters phone bill going to cost me? how does my younger son keep finding the controller to his Xbox when hes grounded from it for not doing his homework?

all of my kids are tougher than me. they make school look easy. the world should be scared of my kids.

Not really. Hopefully he will grow learning how to handle whatever situation the world presents to him just as I did growing up.

I worry more about him knocking some girl up while he's too young.

Common fear for a parent. It's part of life..... IMO.

Nope.  The world hasn't changed all that much since I was a kid.  The biggest difference is the speed of information and that we can get our information from anywhere.  We hear about a lot of things happening that we wouldn't have a generation ago.

I've got a 4 year old son and a 2 year old daughter.

i dont have any kids ... yet. but when i do...

the world should be scared of my kids.

;D

I have a 4 year old daughter and I am scared of her growing up just because I dont know how I'm going to react to her bringing some horny little teenager to the house!  But we just found out my wife is pregnant with a boy so maybe he can lay the smack down for me if need be. I'm not scared of the world they are growing up in though. I think the news mostly covers all the bad stuff so you never get to hear about all the good stuff going on in the world. Bottom line.....bad news sales!

I have seen a dramatic change in people and community in just the last 15 years in my area. I guess everywhere is different, but to say that the world hasn't changed at all is kinda ridiculous.

Well as evidenced above, that isn't what I said.

I have 2 boys (4 and 7).  I'm not so much scared as I am disappointed.

I'm not sure exactly what you're referring to, but maybe eventually we can get off foreign oil and the crazy people can go back to fighting themselves instead of us and we won't care (like Africa now).

Or maybe you're referring to the lack of personal responsibility in our own country these days? I hope my kids don't live in a country that taxes the rich to pay for the "rights" of others.

I am. I can't let my lil girls go out in the front yard and play like I did when I was young. I am sure people were snatching kids back then, but it seems to be more common today. More perverts out there now. Maybe I am just overprotective/paranoid.

I'm young enough to be some of your guy's kid and I'm scared sick of the world we live in.

That's what I'm talking about.

I have 3 girls. Lucky me. And I don't want to be the hounding dad like

I think I'm GOING to have to be. I'm doing my best so they are

independent and strong, but with perverts, "sexting", horny lil boys

and kid snatchers, I dont know what else to do. Other than stock up

the gun cabinet of course.
