Power was out for 16 hours. Trees down across the roads everywhere, and people who didnt know how to drive in snow were everywhere. This is only the 3rd time it has snowed at my house in the almost 7 years I have been here.

Boss called me at 8 and asked if I could run some paper work from a customer up to him. LOL. What an adventure that was. 35miles of unplowed roads with big oaks down all over the place. Not to mention my new beater truck doesnt have a heater, or windshield wipers that are worth a d**n.

Caught up on my sleeping and reading though. It was like being back home in Colorado for a day.

holy crap! my brother in Danville said they got some, but it wasn't nearly that much. Do houses in CA even have heaters? Fireplaces?

Yeah. where I am at, it regularly gets into the 40's and we usually have 10-20 nights a year that we get a frost. So we had the fireplace kicking all day.

The annoying thing is, I have spoken for a friends generator that he is selling, just hadnt picked it up yet. Called today and he was out of town >:(.

What a mess. :o Even here in the Midwest where people see that kind of weather once in a while, those conditions would create havoc. Sure is pertty though. ;)

if we saw snow like that down here, there'd be riots in the streets.

after it cleared.

Awesome pic Jay. We've had some of that white stuff for a couple days here, not nearly that much though.

Dang! Thats a lot of snow! Send some of it my way. We got about 3/4 of an inch Saturday morning. It melted before the sun went down.

Whats up Blaine? Long time no see.

We had temps in the low teens overnight last night, and due for an even colder night tonight.  Although we don't have any snow, the daytime temps don't get much above freezing, if at all.

I'm on here quite a bit guys, just been in the background keeping my mouth shut for once.  It's that time of year, getting the itch to go fishing.  If I can't do it, I want to talk about it.  ;D

I had 6 inches of snow at my house in Allentown, PA this past weekend.

Nice pic!

I reminds me of Colorado, too!

8-)

We call that a "dusting" of snow up here.  :P

I had between 7-9 inches saturday, and we're expecting more tonight.  It's different here though, I have a cord of wood in my garage, and good snow tires lol.  So just another day

I'm sure glad I got rid of that POS before winter came around. Sucks to be you lol.  The no heater thing sucked during those chilled summer nights, couldn't imagine now.  And there is NO difference between HIGH and LOW on the windshiled wipers.  I am convinced that the two positions are to comfort the driver lol.

My parents live a little higher than Jay, and the got 13 inches.  In the 17 years they have lived there the most they have gotten is 5inches.  Pretty amazing if you ask me.  Even at 200 feet in elevation, I got snow in Roseville, CA.  The picture is the top of my car.

Sure would love to have a day off in the snow!

With friends like you it's no wonder why he is so miserable.

He sold me his old boat... so it was only fair.  I don't feel at all bad for him.  Crap for Crap!!!   ;D

We had 6-8 inches in the last day and had up to 50 mph gusts, which resulted in a 3 foot drift in my driveway, which we just removed with an oversized endloader.  I made it through the drift in Yoda though prior to getting it plowed out!  Gonna be a long winter.

Hey Four Biz I just came down from Oregon, where is all that Snow?

This was just above Auburn. Still have 6 inches on the ground.

Wow I didn't see any snow on my way back down from Oregon on 5. Must be crazy in the mountains now.
