PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT! IMPORTANT! VITAL! CRITICAL!

Featured Replies

GUYS; worry no more. For those of you that have tried to send me PMs, the problem has been fixed!

Seems that "somehow" my pm settings were switched to "ignore all". such a powerful movement, for which i did not orchestrate, and i shall face the perpetrator with malicious intent! No.. I wont. I lied.

Anyhow, may the overflow of fan mail continue.

:-?

Redskin fan who went bonkers because they got A REAL QUARTERBACK.

it seems that there is more than one case of magical additions to ignore lists. very bizarre.

I haven't been able to keep the same signature for some time now.

I just keep replacing it.

Weird.

My avatar disappeared and there were extra characters added to the the phrase below it.

I should note this is the 3rd time something like this has happened.

And your avatar is a Red X... at least on my PC..

I haven't been able to keep the same signature for some time now.

I just keep replacing it.

Weird.

ya, I have to admit, there is some weirdness with the latest version of the forum software. You guys don't know it, but us moderators get a "-1" count on our PM notification all the time.  Sometimes we'll get a PM, but won't know it unless we actually look in our PM box (no notification).

The "extra" or "weird" characters in sigs are a result of an update glitch a few updates ago. They still exist today, even though the bug has been fixed.

All things aren't perfect.  But these are minor annoyances in the grand scheme of things.

That's because you have HTML code in your sig. The forum software "burps" on it and spits it out.

Your avatar shows up as a blank image. But that's because you don't have an image designated. So it shows nothing....another bug in the system.  It should probably default to "no image" instead of trying to find something, and then showing a "blank image" error instead.

Thank God. I can sleep in peace tonight!

But I did designate an image.  It's the same one I have always had.

I got it off here when I first joined and it has been on the list of available avatars since.

What is the issue with HTML code?  It is my wife's photography site. Before I get yelled at, remember that I am most certainly not a computer guy...

Thank God. I can sleep in peace tonight!

In before the lock ::)

Wayne, is it just a link to her site?

if so, try this:

what you want the link to say

 • Super User

Thanks Dan.

I will give it a shot.  I have used that to insert links in my posts before, never thought to try it there.

Guess we'll see what happens.

 • Super User

Now the question is, how long will it stay there?

::)

 • Author

probably as long as my PM settings will be set properly, or as long as my hometown in spelled correctly.

Who knows, we may slip through the "glitch".

You might also want to change your password, and lock your computer when you're away from it.  Just ask Senko77 what his roommates have done to him over and over again!
