Anyone else here going?  I know its a few months away, but I can't wait!  Never been to a NASCAR race before, so I'm stoked to go.

If you plan on attending, let me know!

I have to work that weekend, but only live 50 miles away.

You just coming in for the Cup race, or are you going to hit all three races?

My apartment is about 15 miles from the race. If my neighbor is going I might be there for tailgating fun, but I doubt I be watching the race.

You sure picked a good race to watch for your first one. The Bristol night race is the bomb!

Great venue.

You will have a fun time.

Usually attend the March race if no conflicts with a tournament.

Safe travels.  :)

I'll be there Thursday through Sunday, trackside.

Burley, if you're that close, we have to meet up.  :)

There's a gentleman club in Johnson City called the Fuzzy Hole....Just throwing it out there.. :o

Unless my schedule changes, I am off that Friday.   Maybe something can get worked out for a few of us to get together.

I wish you would have seen a race there before they paved it.  Racers like it better now, fans like it less.  Before, fans liked it more and racers liked it less.

That sounds like a plan. :)

Too bad I have to work Thurs-Sun.

If you were there a day earlier, we could hit one of the area lakes.

Ya, get the headsets.  Won't have a clue what's going on without them - plus you'll be deaf by race's end.  ;D

Been to Daytona a few times, but honestly it's not a great track for being in the stands.  Bristol, on the other hand, is an awesome track.  Never been, but wishing I'll get to go someday.  I'm envious!

Oh, and bring bug spray.  ;)

Bugs probably wont be bad on the infield. Those critters already have a 160,000 others to select from before they get to the infield.

I just asked about a headset.  Considering my host, I could almost change a tire.  :)  Headsets will be available.

Can't wait.

I figured if you was in the infield you would be provided with the headsets.  At Bristol its probably more important than any other track just because of the bowl shape and tight quarters everything gets trapped inside the track basically.  It used to be called Thunder Valley because of the mountains around them.  Bruton leveled them for more parking.

I think he was referring to the type of bugs that might jump from one of those 160,000 fans onto you. ;)

Drink lots of beer.

Have the number 88 shaved into your back hair and go shirtless.

If that 24 guy wins, heave your beer can onto the track.

Despite the advertised laps for the race, they often go extra laps in order to get the finish just right for the fans in order to prevent those beer cans, chicken buckets and coolers from getting tossed onto the track.

I'd suggest rappelling gear. While I've never been, I understand the steps to the seating at Bristol are at a 45 degree angle.

Absolutely don't tell anyone you're from CA unless you can run to a vehicle and make a quick getaway.

Since we know you're more familiar with cars and forms of racing a little more refined you need to know that a car that has understeer is tight. That it's perfectly normal for a driver to use his car as a weapon during a race and run into other drivers, INTENTIONALLY during a race.... whether he's penalized depends on who the driver is.

The Bristol race is somewhere around 800 laps and usually like 8-9 hours long. There is a real possibility of arterial thrombosis in your legs sitting all cramped up with 160,000 other diehards. Wear support hose.

I figured you more as a Monaco or Le Mans type of person but in any case, Enjoy your day at the races, I'm sure it will be quite an experience.
