Has anyone seen the new Lexus commercials for the LFA?  Are the Italians in danger of losing their supercar supremacy?

Its one sweet ride @$350K and you have to be "cool" to actually be approved to buy one  ;D

Wonder if I can put a hitch on it and tow this:

Very sweet.......Cool or not 350k buys it.

looks like an amazing car... is it worth 350?  can't say without driving one.. but there's a crapload of cars I would buy in the 2-300 range before this one if i had that kind of money.

Here's a pic:

BBC show Top Gear did a review on it & absolutely loved how it performed but said it still didn't justify the cost.  What's really crazy is that at $350K, Lexus still isn't making any money off of it  :o

hmmm lets see. Now that I think about it all it is is a re-badged and updated supra. For 350k? I'll just get a Ferrari.

The entire run is sold out.

For that kind of coin, I'd buy another Lamborghini LP640 or perhaps the Porsche Carrera GT.  To me the styling of the Lexus is...uninspiring.

Nide ride, but a bit too pricey for what still boils down to be a Toyota.  I saw the Top Gear episode on it, seems to be a nice ride.  One thing every person thats reviewed it has complained about though has been the lackluster gearbox.  I'm with Redlinerobert, give me the Carrera GT.  But I'm a Porsche guy, so I'd rather have one of those anyway.  I could probably be persuaded into an R8 if I had to pick something else to blow a wad of cash on.  Theres something about those Audi's that I just like.

It's a neat looking car but it just don't have the same appeal as other cars in that price range.  350K can get you a whole lot of sexiness and you don't even have to be "cool" if you got the cash.

If I had 350K to spend and I had my heart set on a Toyota, I would just purchase a ~1998 Supra and drop about a ton of money in it.  Then I would take the rest of the money and pay off my student loans and maybe buy a BassCat.  I would probably also take my woman out somewhere nice and upscale like Burger King.

x2.

ill take the supra , GT4 or a ferrari over that if i had to choose.

now if i just had that extra cash laying around , i surely wouldnt spend it on ONE car. probably a chevrolet typhoon in excellent condition or a blazer xtreame and a boat. with the remaining cash , ill buy a house.

sorry lexus.
