I'm a conservative guy, and believe in playing by the rules. I understand requiring all crew members to be licensed. It just makes sense. I'm not sure that sure that denying the boat the prize because one crew member lied when signing on is in keeping with the spirit of the law. One thing is sure-it won't ever happen again.

I think his buying a license after the boat docked kinda left a clue.

How many boats compete in this competion, and how much to enter?

156 boats competed this year, the entry fee was a minimum $2500, and $4000 to be eligible for all possible prize money.
