He wanted to make it fun. 4/2 is too easy for a 15 year old.  Apparently writing a problem that results in 2 is too difficult for an adult.  It is amazing what we used to know when we were kids.  I used to know the capitals of like every state and God knows how many countries.  Now, I don't think I can remember all the states.
