I hate it. Everytime I go to the dentist, they allways give me like 2 shots to start. Shots in my gums hurt. Then the bring out the drill, but I can feel the drill. They give me 2 more shots. Still feel drill, 2 more shots, and can still feel the drill. Finally I got tired of waiting 30 minutes after every two shots and just got it done painfully. They never believe me when I say No-Va-Cane doesn't work, they just continue to jab me with needles until I give up. Now I cant feel the whole right side of my face, and some of my right neck, and the whole left side of my face feels bloated and like its asleep.

Stupid No-va-cane...

I havent found a pain-releiver / numb-er that actually works...

Sorry to hear about your problem.

I would have thought the dentist has something else in his arsenal other than novocaine.

Maybe you need to be knocked out with gas?

Or check with another dentist?

I'm just the opposite, hardly ever use novacaine. Hate that "fat lip" feeling afterwards, and drinking coffee and have it run down my face cause I can't feel it. Some people have extra sensitive teeth and are bothered by hot and cold things.

Listen to your parents when they tell you to brush your teeth, and CLEAN your ROOM!

I think Stripes may have the accurate assessment.  Pain is arbitrary; it is what your moind thinks it is.  That's why you see one person horribly injured still finishing the fight while another with lesser or superficial injuries screaming like a baby.  Not name calling, just saying.
