New Year- Can't get here fast enough.

First- Here's hoping everyone has a Happy and Prosperous New Year.

What a year this has been. My wife had neck surgery to fuse 3 vertebrae in her neck and 6 months later she had back surgery to fuse 2 vertebrae there. She is finally back to as close to normal as she'll probably be.

Missed the Pickwick trip due to problems at work which led to us losing one of our biggest customers.

My son went off to college and played the fall baseball season. 1 week after it ended, he tore his meniscus in his right knee playing Basketball and needed surgery. Thankfully, after 4-5 weeks he was up and running again and should make a close to full recovery. I played in a fundraiser soft-pitch tournament with my son's team and hurt my knee. An MRI showed a deep bone bruise. Nothing I can do except try to stay off it. It's been more than 8 weeks since I saw the Dr. and was given a cane to use and it still hurts like hell. To top it off, now I have my mother-in-law living with us as she had severe hemorrhaging and could not be alone. She will be on disability and living with us for at least another month. On the bright side I did get to fish some with Triton 21 and Uncle Leo, but I probably spent 1/4 the time on the water I normally do.

Sorry for the whining and thanks for listening.

Next year has got to be better!

Stay safe all.

I'll buy you a beer in Kentucky.

If you're feeling lucky, I'll make you chicken.   ;)

I'm gonna hold you to that. Won't turn down a beer either.

Hang in there. Hope 2011 is better. Sounds like it couldn't get worse.
