good ones so far!

I'll start off with saying that I think most actors get more credit than what they deserve, read overrated.

Johnny Depp, Tom Hanks and John Travolta are versatile actors who can pull off any role in any genre of film.  They aren't characters of themselves. That's why they are probably my favorites.

Lots of Buscemi fans here.

I like him in a supporting role more than I like him as the lead. I wasn't blown away with what he did in Boardwalk Empire. Meanwhile, I thought his perfromances in Fargo and Reservoir Dogs were a lot more than memorable. I also think what he did in Con-Air is often overlooked.

Tommy Lee Jones, Sam Elliot, and Tom Selleck should get an honorable mention. 8-)

X2. Sam Elliot has the best voice ever.

Denzel Washington, Matt Damon, list goes on. I've seen some really good movies lately, too.

No Country for Old Men

Inside Man

The Hurt Locker

The Book of Eli

And more I can't think of right now. I really loved No Country for Old Men.

"A-Are you going to shoot me too?"

"That depends, do you see me?"

I can't believe no one has mentioned Robert Deniro. Taxi Driver, Goodfellas, Godfather II, The Deer Hunter, etc.  He's my favorite, hands down.

Gary Oldman.

All great actors listed above but I gotta go with Bill Murray.

No one funnier when he was in his prime and he really impressed me in Lost in Translation.

I agree, very well done.  That movie was directed by Sophia Coppola.  You might recognize her as Michael Corleone's daughter in Godfather III.

Tommy Lee Jones, Samuel L. Jackson, Russell Crowe...all good choices.

I always liked Alan Rickman,, particularly in Die Hard.

Keanu Reeves.....

Keanu Reeves.....

Yea he would be a great actor if he had emotion in his voice and...well..... could act.

In addition to just about everyone that has

already been mentioned, Russell Crowe, George

Clooney, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Matt Damon.

Seriously? :) there is only one true mans man left and that is Mark Wahlberg THE SHOOTER and he is a Con :) :) :) And cant forget Toby Keith a true American  8-) 8-) 8-)

8-)

since alot of mine have already been named im going say one everyone left out... Paul Newman!!

Morgan Freeman and Anthony Hopkins for sure.  Hopkins scene in Amistad where he addresses the Supreme Court is one of the best scenes I have ever watched in a movie. The other is when Peter OToole in Troy, as Prium, begs Achilles for his dead son's body back. I'm glad no one said Mark Hammil. I would have thrown up.

what about robert duvall and tom hanks

Robert Duvall as Gus in Lonesome Dove brings his character to life. I had read the book a couple of times, and Duvall was Gus.

Denzel Washington and Robert Redford get honorable mention.
