pick me a winner

Featured Replies

hello fellow anglers. sorry to post another pic of a pick, but this guy was a beast. i nailed him on a double blade spinner about ten feet from shore, and my drag was screaming. the idea that pickerel dont fight good is insane. i had to crank down on the drag as tight as i could manage, and he still ran. when i got this whopper in he was to strong for me to even get a good handle on. so one snap of the cam phone and sent him on his way. this guy is almost a new PB. maybe a tie. 30" long

Yes, it's insane. I caught my first pickerel perhaps 35 years ago and I've always thought they fight better than largemouth.

Very nice fish.

THATS A NICE PINE BARRENS PICKEREL!!!!!

Thank you very much sir. I just figured that most bass fisherman dont like pickerel. Waiting for my first, "not another pickerel" comment :)

pickerel do have their own style when you fight them, they are alot of fun to catch. :)My best pickerel i caught was 4lbs.
