Some of my fishing buddies and i entered into a four month long pickerel tournament this year sponsered by a biker bar in the NJ pine barrens. Here are two fish my buddy and i caught on the same day five minutes apart. we are now in secon and third place. mine was 23.5 inches and 3 lbs. His was 25 inches and three lbs too.

nice fish...im from jersey too & i pickerel fish in the pines but i never seem to catch any larger size ones....id love to know what spot you fish in the pines

Are pickerel only native to the U.S? We do not have these fish here in Europe.
