Featured Replies

A couple of buddies and I were fishing out near mosquito lagoon and between the three of us caught an inshore grandslam! I dont have any pictures of the trout but here are some pics from Fri and Sun.

Great Job! :)

Up here in NC, an inshore slam is a flounder, speckled trout, and a red. We have tarpon, but not enough to go after them consistantly.

Nice fish and pics.

I've caught sea trout, I'd really like to catch the other species also.

Nice fish man!  Jeez, I miss snook and tarpon - those are my favorite.  Used to live in Miami, FL, now I'm in CT.  No fish fights harder than a tarpon.

Those Redfish are amazingly beautiful.  Where inshore in NC were you to catch those guys?  The snook looks pretty cool.  If I fished brackish or saltwater I would so want to fish for Reds.  I've seen tons of specials on tv about them and guys that fish for them using topwater plugs and walking the dog.  They look like they crush em'.

What type of tackle were you using for those fish?  What lures did you end up catching em' on?

Awesome fish,

Jcrazy,

If you want to catch some Reds come on down to NC and I can put you on some, right now and spring are the prime times. There has been some awesome speck and red fishing in the past 3 weeks, with Nov being the best month before the spring.

hey acitually i am in FL. we were fishing in titusville.  The reds were caught on a miroor lure that i found in a tree. the tarpon was on a chug bug, the other tarpon was on a terroreyez, and the snook was on a topwater plug. Thanks for the comments.
