I was out this evening and these two guys were catfishing and bassfishing from the bank.  One guy would sit for a while and the other would throw a spinnerbait and then they would switch.  Well they didnt catch a thing while tight lining for cats, but the one guy caught a nice 5lb cat on a spinnerbait, couldnt believe it and either could his buddy.  the guy was so happy about his interesting catch.  It was pretty funny to watch.

I've caught some big catfish on jigs and plastic worms it's a big rush thinking i have a huge bass then a big cat shows up  ;D.

I've caught two bass on crankbaits and one (this year) on a Strike King Rocket Shad while smallie fishing!

I have caught 5lb channel catfish on buzzbaits in Seria trophy bass fishing  ;D

Just this past weekend my partner caught a catfish on a plastic worm. He first spotted this fish and made several casts. We ended up spooking the fish. He  swam up under this log facing the bank. As I was laughing, he makes one more cast to the other side of the log and that cat just nailed it it took us 10 minutes to get him untangled from the log.

The last two years we have had more catfish hit bass lures than I would have ever imagined

I have caught a few catfish before while using spinnerbaits and crankbaits.  I caught a nice 10lber on a wiggle wart in a crawdad pattern last year.

I've had two catfish caught in my boat on spinnerbaits in the past two months, one by me and one by my son. I've caught dozens on small crappie jigs, and a few on crankbaits. White catfish seem to really go for lures.

My dad's friend's daughter who I was fishing with caught a dandy little 3lb channel cat on a beetle spin while fishing for bluegill.....

I caught a 19 lbs channel cat while trolling a spinnerbait under some docks at the Lake of the Ozarks. Fought like crazy and absolutely demolished my spinnerbait. He was tasty...

I can add another catfish hitting a spinnerbait to the list. Was out musky fishing this evening and was throwing a 1oz spinnerbait and had about a 20" channel cat hit about 10' from me. I almost launched it into my chest on the hook set! LOL! I had just lost a small musky shortly before and I wanted to land what ever hit next!  ;D

Hey, cpvenom, I caught a channelcat on a topwater also! This was several years ago, and I was throwing a Rapala Ripplin Red-Fin. I hadn't even moved the bait yet, and WHAM! I thought I had one BIG BASS. That was one fight I'll never forget and a suprise toboot.

Here in Chain'O Lakes in Illinois, we have been catching 3-7lbs channel cats on spinner baits while fishing for large mouth bass. That goes to show you how versitile these lures are! They catch anything.

San Antonio Texas, I caught three that day, two on a rebel crawdad and one on a strom shad, soon as the lure hit the water the catfish lunged at it, two days later I caught another on a Rapala minnow.

The rapala catch was while I was relling the lure back in.

I saw my lil bro catch one one a roostertail.  We were slayin them on t-rigged tubes about a month ago.

My dad caught a 17lber in a treetop on a black culprit worm. I've caught a few on crankbaits.

We have a pond here on base that has some starving catfish in it. I target them with a Rooster Tail.

Caught three the last time I went (about an hour trip).

I've caught them from 1/2 to 8 pounds.

Shoot, I'm havin a hard enough time catching bass on bass lures lately let alone catfish ;D ;D

Caught a 7.7lb castfish on a 1/16 oz curly tail jig on a lead head using 4lb test line.

Fought him for 10 minutes and when we got him in the net the jig was on the tip of his lip and fell off.
