There is this huge carp swimming along the banks of this pond i fish at and we have tried everything to catch it with, any ideas on what to try to catch this thing, it has to be at least 25 30lbs

Chumming with corn.

as bass-rat said chum with a hand full of canned whole-kernel corn, and using a small barbless hook with 2 or 3 pieces of the same corn cast out and wait. Or, you could take a bow and stick an arrow through that big ole' thing. ;D

OP, chum the water with dog food.  Corn is no good because fish can't digest it and if they eat enough, there donzo.  The carp and catfish will respond just as well to a handful of dry dogfood.

I always here people say that small fish cant digest corn, that is actually not true, i fish in a small creek near my house and usually chum with corn. i have caught numerous creek chubs and striped shiners and many times when i am unhooking them, they poop corn all over my hand. >

If they're pooping raw corn, then they can't digest it, they're just passing it through.

OH, I'm not a fish anatomy expert, so i just figured that they were digesting it, but none of them have died from it.

Make sure it's not a grass carp,  some states are very protective of them.  Catch and release only.  Do a little research.  If it looks like this don't kill it,  most likely they are protected they tend to be a very expensive form of weed control.

I was fishing the white river (in Indy) and saw some big ones jumping, I don't know why the carp jump but they do. I took of my texas rigged craw papi and put on a rye bread dough ball. waited about 10 minutes, then the rod went up and down and i set the hook. It was about 7lbs. I went out a week later and tried white bread, I was hoping my buddy would catch one, I had no luck. I am not a carp fisherman, that is the only one i have caught without snagging it, so i don't know much about corn, but i hear it works too.
