Would anyone have an idea where I could find these??

If we knew where you live we could quite possibly point you in the right direction  ;)

Sorry about that, I am stationed in Hawaii. Majority of the stores sell only saltwater items or the larger spooks. I'd probably need it shipped.

I havent heard of the "pooch" spook, only spooks and spook jrs. They have them pretty much everywhere (bass pro, cabelas, TW, etc.)

Ah, not the ones I was looking for...  Thank for all finds so far though.

The "pooch" version is 2" long I believe.

They are indeed!!  Targeting smallies here in HI and Jr/Puppy's are too big for the size I've found here.

how small are the smallys ???? ive caught smallys here in WI. with the swayback spook  ,,, its at least 4inches ... not to mention other top waters that were that size or close to it ... ive caught 12 inch largeeez on the swaybacks also ...

biggest I have caught so far is around 13-14inches.  Normal is around 7-8 inches.  I have been using small tubes, Pin's minnows and Rebel Teeny Pop-rs.

I'm sure Cabela's or BPS has them on their sites. How small are these smallies by the way? I've caught 6-8 inch smallmouth on Zara Puppies, so unless you really really want the pooch, you might want to use the Puppy.

Another thing to consider: I have a pooch, and it's really tough to get it to walk correctly. The action really isn't that great, so if you're looking for a very small topwater, you might want to consider another option. For example, a little popper or a little jitterbug. Your best bet might be to fly fish for them - those little smallmouth LOVE bugs  ;D

Smallies in Hawaii ? ;) I wish we had smallies down here. Looks like like I am going to have to build my own pond stocked with spots and smallies.

I dont think Heddon makes the pooch anymore..I cant find them anywhere except for Ebay..

I'm pretty sure the zara puppy is small enough for your small mouth bass.

I once hooked a bass that is smaller then the puppy IN the mouth, not foul hooked.

Eh my search is done, got a couple from a friend who happened to find them in his long lost box.

They work just fine on light tackle, yet to try it on some heavier stuff but theres not much point to it.

There are indeed smallies in Hawaii, I'd post pictures but I'm not quite in the post limit yet.

The pooch is a great little bait.  I have one in a baby bass pattern that is killer in late spring.
