Spit'n Image

Featured Replies

Went on a fishing trip to Black Fork River in SE OK over the weekend. Plenty of water but fishing was tough! Went with my 28 year old son and he kicked my bass AGAIN with the Tennesee shad spit'n image. Wished I had never gave him his first one a few years back. I've had a little trouble working them, they're a little harder for me than Zara's. I'm going to have to learn how or retire, it looks like! LOL! We only caught 3 smallies each but he probly caught 30 or 40 Spots in the 1 to 2 # range and a few largemouth. About all I could catch was goggle eyes! (sunfish). I WILL be ordering myself a couple of these baits and doin some practicing! Might leave him home next time too! ;)   Anyone else use these baits?  lp

I have a couple that I don't use.  I was never very impressed with the bait, and never gave it much of a try... I'll take them off the shelf and give them a try next time out.

They seem to require less slack and quicker pace than most "Spook"

type baits. Practice and it should pay off although there are easier working baits out there.

I have a couple that I've caught fish on, but when I want a walking topwater now, I use the Rapala SkitterWalk.  Easiest bait to walk I've ever used.  Caught many Smallies and Largemouth on them.

I like them, they walk easier than a spook in my opinion.

One of my first ever confidence baits.  Also one of the first baits where I've opened the package on the boat, tied on, and caught a bass on the first few casts.   ;)

I've had Sammy fever lately, so the Spit'n Image is taking a little break.

any one have a link to anyplace selling the larger ones. I am down to one and I prefer the bigger of the two? I can't readily find the larger ones anymore.

Thanks

Dominick

The Spit'n Image was what I learned to walk the dog on. Last year, I had a TON of success with them on the one pond I fish. This year, not so much.  :-/   But I believe that's due to the added fishing pressure the pond has received.

Hey Muddy,

I like the larger ones too! Try Lurenet . com.

No one TW catches all the TW biters.  The Spittin' Image is a MUST HAVE in your TW dog selections, along with the usual Spooks, Sammys, Bananas, etc.

QUOTE FROM ABOVE:

Skitterwalks and Sammies are much better than that whatever it is.

I primarially use Jitterbugs on top,Jittersticks and Jitterwalks, as well as the Spittin Image.Let's here your experience loomisspoolwalker with using both the Sammy abnd Jitterwalks and I would especially like to here your experience using the WHAT EVER IT IS, so we can see how you have come to your opinon of these.

Not to jack this thread, but the swayback spooks look great and are priced well over here?

I like the lure and have had a decent amount of success with it out here. These fish here in So Cal see all those baits and more and they still hit this lure.

And it only costs about 1/2 of all those other lures.
