You might see the pitchers and flippers in the creeks and the dock fishermen do a little bit better in the last hour with that sun being high. Alton Jones is on though, looks like his consistancey will be tough to beat.

I still think Hartley has something figured out. I am rooting for him. 8-)

Ronnie

i think ole' KVD has got a little something saved up! but all in all it's gonna be tight.

wow, I wish I were there!  This one is going to be good.  Hartley definitely has something figured out!  The recap is on espn2 at 10:00pm, didnt see that on the website :-/

There is no tellin' how this one will pan out. All I saw on the website was the live weigh in. Tonight we get just a little taste of the fishing.

Charley Hartley seems like a great guy and a great angler. Would make for a great story. Charlie is on a shallow bite from what I've seen and heard.

Alton Jones has won over a million in his career. He hasn't ever won the classic. He seems to be a great guy. Alton is on a deep bite I think.

I know who I'd bet on. Afterall, I'm a "Jones Boy". :)

It's still a long way from over. I just hope they all whack em' tomorrow!

Alton said during the weigh-in that he was fishing 15'-40'.

Charlie is a great guy, and I think his career winnings total less than 300k though.  He works a "regular" job while fishing pro.  His sponsor, venom lures is not exactly a huge sponsor either, and they are located just on the other side of columbus, OH from Charlie.  I really would like to see him take this one home.

BTW, 100th post here in about 3 months!  I love this site...may be an addict, but i've learned one heck of a lot!!!  Thanks all

Coverage for day two was great on ESPN2.  Thank you ESPN, what a difference a day makes, good coverage for day2.  What a huge improvement from yesterday.

Well ESPN did a better job today on the fishing coverage, IMO.

Did anybody notice when Steve Kennedy idled by Charlie Hartley? I do believe I saw a "fivebasslimit" in Kennedy's boat, but he didn't weight one in. ::)

This is  from the main story on Bassmasters * about the Hooter's girls following Charlie Hartly around.

But the Grove City, Ohio, resident, who is fishing in his first Classic, couldn't help but smile in recalling the cheers directed his way from the girls in the Hooters' boat.

"One time they yelled, 'Go Charlie.' Then a little later it was 'We love you, Charlie.' And the best one was, 'Show us a big one, Charlie.'"

That would be hard to concetrate.

:o ::):P;):D ;D   oops, trying to fish :-/

Ah, the one that got away... How will that lost fish affect Charlie at the end of day 3? Seems like a great guy, would make a great story.

Unlike yesterday Alton is struggling, his fish might have run-out. Go Charlie!

Again,

Brief blips about IKE...the guy comes into the top ten, then later into the top three without hardly a mention. He is not liked!!!

Even Zona when pressed wouldn't say if he liked him???

Gotta love the bad boy!!!

My prediction...watch for one of the guys who can handle pressure to win. Charlie looks like a great guy but I agree with Matt..that lost lunker WILL hurt. Alton Jones should win, but.....

Watch for KVD, Ike,Kreit, Evers, and the long shot is, (Sorry Tin!) Skeet Reese.

IMVHO of course!!!

They have had a BLOG all morning. Kriet, Pace, and Jones are estimated leaders right now. Hartley has only one keeper. Looks pretty slow for now.
