He sure knows how to mention his sponsors whenever he can. ::)

I was watchin live on the computer. Those lead changes sure made it exciting.

I'm glad a family won $500,000

Can't wait to see Alton Jones Jr. someday on the tour.

The future of BASS

Good Job Alton

He sure knows how to mention his sponsors whenever he can. ::)

He also knows how to catch fish when it counts!

I am proud for him, as I would be for any of them. But he was due for this and it's his time to shine.

WAY TO GO ALTON! YOU DA MAN!

Good job Alton.  I'm glad a family guy won it.  It looks like some of the guys struggled today.  I would have liked to see an underdog like Charley Hartley win, but what happens happens.

Alton is a class act and I am so glad he won the Classic.

I liked all of the six finalists and it is nice to see someone who has done so much for our sport to finally get the spotlight and financial rewards.

For you guys who want to be pro bass fishermen, Alton Jones  is someone to emulate.

And note his age. He is not a young spring chicken.

Congrats to Alton, and all of the other 49 pros in the tournament.

That's a bad thing?  :-?

Without those sponsors, he wouldn't be able to fish.  It is his duty to get them as much TV time as possible.

I think Flechero was the only one to call that horse!

Great tourny.

Sorry, that came out wrong. So no, if I had a company I would want someone like him on my staff. He is a great fisherman and a great representitive for any product.

No big deal, just didn't see a need to roll the eyes.

I never understand when people take issue with thanking or mentioning sponsors.   :-X

KVD didn't win but he is the most consistent Classic finisher I've ever seen.  The last four years his place in the standings has been as follows:

2005 - Winner

2006 - 5th

2007 - 3rd

2008 - 3rd

Congratulations to Alton Jones for a great Classic.  He won it hands down.

Yep congrats to Alton! I was sort of pulling for John Crews as he was the only contender from Virginia. But he was too far behind to make it.

I met John Crews once, he is really a nice guy! I met him at the Sportsman Show that was held at the Fredericksburg Center last year. My club had a booth there and I met him.
