How many fish tourny's

Featured Replies

Just wondering how many members fish tournements vs. how many don't?

I fish in a few tournaments a year...mostly muskie tournaments though.

I just fished my third tournament today.  I am new to tournament fishing.  I'm having fun so far, but not performing very well.

I can be talked into fishing one or two a year   ;)

Due to my weekend work schedule I fish alot of weeknight tournies.

I do not consider myself a tournament fisherman although I may fish 1 or 2 a year.  How about another choice - occasional tourny fishing?

I'm fishing the Bassmaster Weekend Series thing weekend on Champlain. It will be my 21st tourney of the year. I generally fish about 40 a year and am on the water about 140 days a year. Most in spring and fall because summer isn't my strongest season.

I don't personally care to tourney fish...plus my schedule wouldn't allow it (I coach kid's soccer, softball and basketball).

That said, I think tourneys are good for the sport of bass fishing so I try not to complain when a herd of strange boats show up at my favorite lake.

:)

Haven't got to fish as many of em' this year.

I'd love to fish 'em but don't!

nope.

I usually fish 25 or more a season but, this year I have had to put fishing on the back burner for awhile so only about 15

I fish 6-10 ABA tourneys, 8 Team Tourneys, and several Charity tourneys a year.

Fished too many this year.

Will miss my club's last two due to family obligations.

I'd love to fish tourneys as well but can't really get hooked up to a club due to my schedule. I might get to do one or two tourneys that are more like industry/promotional things thru work, but didn't make any of them this year.

My son has gotten active in martial arts and I teach at his school 2 nights a week and throw in I became a Tiger Scout leader in his troop. Tiger Scouts are 2 Tuesdays and 1 Thursday a month, plus weekend activities. Throw in the old work monkey and I'm full up. Last year I had an old beater boat and fished at least 2 times a week, sometimes more. Bought a shiny new boat this Spring and bet I've been out 6 times in it. :'(

I never thought I would be a TX angler, and I guess I am not, but I do like to fish a "few". All opens, I have fished in 8 so far this season (since june 21st in NYS). I like it, partly because I have done well I guess. Have cashed 5 times out of 8 (1st, 2nd, two 3rd's, a fourth , and lunker once). Will probably fish a few more this year, and as many if not more next season. Call me derranged, but one of the things I like best about it is beating guys who walk around like they are touring B.A.S.S. pros w/ there $40K boats in my 17' paid for Bass Tracker......and spending 1/10th of what they do to do it, which means if I cash all the more $$$ in my pocket insted of in the gas tank and to the bank. Yeah I know..............but I fish 5 days a week for fun for the "love" of fishing,  I'll take one day every once in while to be an a-hole.

I fish about 6 club events and 5 tourneys on the CT-Outdoors trail which usually has 40 boats

Love it!

I use to fish two a week , but have since cut way back because of my work scheldule, i am lucky if i get to fish two a year, but i do enjoy them.
