What's your end of year AOY standings?

Featured Replies

Well guys, hunting season is almost here and most of the clubs are winding down for the season. What's your standing in your clubs AOY race. After a hard fought race for my clubs AOY, I finally, for the first time won AOY, by about 7 pounds. We have Ten tournaments a year and if you want to win you had better not miss a one. So how did everyone else do, let us know.....Mike 8-)

We have one more, but I'm pretty sure I'm mathematically eliminated from first (we use a points system, not weight), but will be in second, and fish the classic.

Thats great J Francho, we also have a classic in Feb. or March at Toledo Bend with no entry fee or motel bills(all paid for thru club dues, raffles and tournament fees) everyone that fishs it goes back home with a payout no matter where you place. It's a great time.....Mike 8-)

I am currently 5th in my club, with 2 events to go. The top 7 people are within 3 points of each

We have 45 members and it was tight battling for the top six this year.  The top 6 finishers gets to fish the Best Six tourny on Toledo Bend at the End of April.  Its normally 95-100 teams of six people, so thats 600 people!!  Anyway I finished 5th, so I accomplished my goal.  Maybe next year I'll shoot for AOY! ;D

I finished fifth this year in are club they only take six to the state tour. and we fished that this past week end. I had some real bad luck my steering cable broke on the first day around four miles from the ramp. I finished secound in the classic  we had at the end of the year.   maybe better luck next year

The top 4 boaters and co-anglers meet at a diner at 4 AM.  We each put a name of a lake in a hat, and pick the lake.  We draw for partners, and head to the lake.  Pretty cool.

Currently in 3rd with our two day club championship this weekend.  I have to finish 1st and have the two guys above me finish no higher than 4th to win AOY.  I hope I can pull it off, but if I had fished better earlier in the season I would be in better shape.  I won our last two tournaments to get in the hunt.

That is a really cool idea. Doesn't one guy typically dominate, or are these popular lakes that your all familiar with?

That's part of the strategy.  You try to pick "your lake" but really its fall, and no one has any track record this late.  I think our classic will be Oct.  24.  It could be 70 or it could be snowing, LOL.

We fish 10 tournaments with two of them being two day road trip tourneys that make up for the two months we don't fish so we essentially have 12 tournaments scored. At the end of the year you get to drop your 4 lowest scores(fish for points). This was my first year and joined late so my four drops were "no shows" so I had to keep a couple scores that i would have dropped. Finished up 5th and will be fishing top six tourney on Toledo Bend. Will be able to give it a full go this upcoming season.

I finished 4th out of 75. I missed the first tx and that hurt me. The top 6 didn't miss any. But I still had a chance to win AOY going into the last tx. But now I have my side imaging

We had 14 tournaments with averagw 22 boats per tourny. Sometimes 25 and sometimes 20. I finished 3rd with overall weight.

Finished 1st in the Classic.

We fish 11 tournaments a year in our club and I missed 4 of them so I ended up in 14th in the club standings. But I ended up 1st in the BFL South Carolina Division on the co angler side. Had 2 wins and a 3rd out of 5 tournaments. My best season by far.
