Not sure if it is good for fishing, but I love that KVD is so dominant. To me it solidifies that fishing is not just something where you drop your lure in the water and wait. His consistency exemplifies that bass fishing is based on skill and not dumb luck. My 2 cents.

I agree. He's been fishing right along side other boats, and smokin' 'em. The guy is a fishing machine, simple as that.

Been following several updates and one them said he was throwing a Charteuse SK Pro Model Spinnerbait and a 1.5 and 2.5 crankbait. Of course this is heresay at this point.

Hahah, I was kind of curious to see if someone would make that comment.

As a second thought, I would say no, it is not good because whatever KVD wins on will be flying off the shelf!  So, instead of people actually learning about fishing, they will say KVD caught fish on this and won so I should at least catch something.  It is the "Kool-Aid," effect people will just drink the KA and become lazy.

it's like being Phil Mickelson with Tiger around...up until recently anyways...or being Brad Park with Bobby Orr around (hey, I'm Canadian), or anyone else with Gretzky around.

nothing wrong with someone dominating. if they are good enough to be the man, they deserve everything they earn...just kind of sucks if you end up #2 often during their reign.

It's good... sort of like Michael Jordan. Just brings more attention to the sport (and sponsors).

I would say it's a good thing when any person can be on a consistent roll and figure out ways to win each and every year. He is fishing with some of the best anglers in the world and manages to come out on top.

If everyone else can't keep up, sucks to be them.

Sponsor money enables more and more skilled guys to make their way into the Classic.

Technology, and information has enabled the development of skills.

I think someone who dominates in this day and age would make the guys who were good 20+ years ago look down right foolish.

I hope to never see any sort of "greatest" tag ever applied to Rick Clunn again.

KVD is unbelievable. Come on guys, we all know it isn't as easy as he makes it look. He is the best period. He is crazy good.

I can't wait to watch it.  A 10lb margin in shared water is pretty strong, it will be interesting to see whether there was any tension b/w the guys sharing that little patch of water and also whether they were using different techniques. 

It's good that he dominates. Even though we might not be able to see it precisely, he makes many of the other pros better.

kvd winning is good but bad for us because the fishing classic will be at feb 25 for basspro massive sale and what lure he used will be out already because red eye shad and kvd spinnerbait is one of lures he used so i would maybe not get those bec they are on sale
