Fished long and hard, but........

It was a bluebird day to day in SE Florida

the sun was shining and temps warmed up into the mid 70's

Problem was getting the fish to bite.

the other day when it was cold rainy and just plain nasty, I scored big.

Today was a beautfiul day to be on the water. I caught a few but considering I fished from 10:30 am to 10PM I had a pretty dismal showing.

Now Avid, let me get this straight.

You were on the water in beautiful Florida doing what you love while I was in the car driving all over Virginia seeing clients; gettng stuck in a traffic jam on Route 460 due to a fatal auto/tractor-trailer accident; fighting for my clients on the cell phone regarding their insurance claims and other problems; freezing my fanny off in 20 degree weather; and you are complaning?

I know we love you and enjoy your posts but don't go nuts on us.

All I can do is come home and pat my boat a few times; speak to it and the motor; go upstairs and look at all of my fishing gear and tackle just sitting there; and watch fishing videos and DVDs on TV.

So please go out and do some fishing for me and the rest of the guys who are "locked inside" this time of the year.

Have fun and post pictures!

Hey Sam,

Next time you come home from a lousy day at work have a cocktail and chill a few minutes before posting.

I reported my "outing" and it was truly a poor day of fishing.

Did you see a complaint in my post?

I didn't.

I have this "thing" about people who only post their success stories.  I believe we need to show the newbies and each other that even the most experienced or most skilled among us still have bad days of fishing.

I'm sorry you had a lousy day.  I had a great day.  I just didn't catch many fish.

This buds for you

avid, Im with you! I fished Ansin Garcia today with a buddy and it was a perfect S Florida day: mid 70's, light breeze and BIG BLUE BIRD SKIES. I caught 1 fish and the partner got skunked. I tried everything from flipping jigs, spinnerbaits, crankbaits, swimbaits, frogs, etc. Tough, tough day. Steve P did a lot better, I think the last time I talked to him he was up to 9 out there....

I got skunked today. :-/  Tried the live bait thing with 0 sucess :'(

Happy you got some bites though! The best part about fishing is knowing that your next trip out may be the best of the year. There is always something to look foward to 8-)

Sorry you all had such a bad day.  I wasn't going to post these but I suppose I will just to rub it in.  LOL ..I caught 7 from 5:15 to 6:00 pm.   Avid, I want to appologize for making jokes about your photographing capabilities.  I asked you in another one of your posts if something ate the bottom part of your fish because you only had a head shot of it.  Well, I tried to photgraph these by myself and now I know how hard it is.  I was only bustin your chops which I'm sure you didn't take it personal.

Bassin' Blvd.  - Fuggedaboudit.

EVERYONE has made fun of pix at one time or another.

You are correct that I took no offense, and even got a laugh, because I have been taking lousy photo's for so long, that nobody even comments anymore.  - I thought I lost my edge  :'(

Glad you had a good outing.
