got out fishing today and landed 10!

I had Gamma 12lb on my Curado 100... I hooked what WOULD have been my personal best had the line NOT BROKE AT THE SHORE! :'( That is the second time I had broke off on a 6+ pound fish in less than a week... so GAMMA is OUT!!! going to try something else... the guy I fish with swears by Stren so I will pick up a spool to see how it works for me... I know it works for him... I saw him winch a 6 pounder out today like it was a dink!

here are some pictures, I am not sure how big they are, I lost my scale running for my car last week running to my car in a thunderstorm   : also somehow my camera got put into black and white mode and I didn't figure it out till tonight

Stop catching those little males and wait a week or two for the big females to move on up. I predict that by the end of March you will have at least one over 9lbs.

I had the same problem with line issue last year..I went through all kinds..So you dont have to make the same mistake I made try P Line X-STrong in 15 to 17lb test..I guaranteed you want lose anymore fish besides a faulty tie..

with all the training goin here all the ponds are closed so believe it or not... there is a prison "complex" about 20 miles to the west of the Installation and we went there... checked in got a pass and that gave us a "pass" to go to any of the 20 some ponds EXCEPT the Wardens pond hahaha...

With the pace of my training in preparing for my deployment I am taking a chance to go fishing EVERY chance I can... I won't be fishing much in the desert

Have I ever mentioned Yo-Zuri Hybrid Ultra Soft? You might want to give it a try. I've been fishing #6 (11.9 lb test) on spinning tackle and #12 (19.5) on baitcasting gear. I have never been broken off by a fish using this line. Just a thought...
