Keep your fingers crossed!

My fingers have been crossed for about a month already. Ha Ha. I think they're stuck. I'll have to pry em apart when we get there.

Nice offer Burley!!

What's the hitch? If you buy dinner, the guys have to stick to the story that they forced you in the van and wouldn't release you till they were at Fishermans cove marina? (hide your rods in the bushes at the restauraunt the afternoon before ;) )

You know something, that sounds like a plan.

But actually I was just planning on stowing away in Muddy's tackle box.  Ain't like he is gonna need any of those lures anyway. ;)

I dont evem know how to use 1/2 the stuff I own so ill leave it home so you will be all nice and comfy on the way to the Fork!!!!!!! :o

I'll give you a crash course in techniques in my front yard using top notch Shimano gear.   ;)

Anything to help an old fart mook realize his dream.  :)

All I ask is that you wash off the patchouli before you come into the house.   ;)

Seriously, I couldn't be happier to help you guys out.  Saves you a little money.  And that is always a good thing when you're going on a fishing trip.

When I went to TX in 02 for a hog hunting trip, my friends and I stayed with family and friends on the way down and back up.  Made the trip a bit more fun and helped three young men save a little money.

Hey Buirley You got the picture wrong here. Iwasnt a peace, love and the beatles kinda 60 guy I dont wear or have ever worn that pootrooli crap!!!!!!!!!1 I am a blues man playing blues music and basically an Old Spice kind of individual,,JUST TO KEEP THE RECORD STRAIGHT 8-)

A thousand and one apologies kind Flooger sir...

Perhaps we can do a little pickin and grinnin.  You do have a purty mouth.

The bass buss is starting to remind me of the "Merry Pranksters" (major 60's reference)

But here is a serious announcement.

I still need cell numbers from a number of folks. This is strictly a means of us keeping in touch with other while at the fork. It will add to your safety, notify you of changes, additions, etc. Plus thier may be a 911 where we NEED you or vice versa.

You know who you are. If for some reason you don't want to give out your # that's cool, or if you don't have a phone and are embarrased to go public with that, or WHATEVER. Personally, I don't care, but send me a PM so I can check you off the list

Your humble servant

Avid aka "Tex"

Hey Avid are you on the bus or off the bus?????????????????

or how bout this 60's question

HAVE YOU EVER BEEN EXPERIENCED?

I'm so experienced I can't remember if I ever got off the bus

A thousand and one apologies kind Flooger sir...

bah duh deer deer deer deer deer deer dum. :D

Major problem.

My computer is acting up in ways I have never seen before.

My first thought was virus but I cant run my norton anti virus program.

This is serious.

I cannot open my MS Word files.  that means all the the cell #'s that have been sent to me are, as of this moment inaccessable.

I will be working with my Geek squad to get back on track, but as of right now my system seems as if it may be ready to crash.  I cannot even restart or shut it down without unplugging.

I apologize for the inconvenience, but some of the vital personal and business files at risk are of major importance..

If you can be patient maybe the whole situation will be solved in a day or two.

If not someone will need to step up.

It's ironic, but the internet seems to one of few programs not affected.

So I'll keep posting.

keep your fingers crossed

avid

I was able to open MS word in safe mode and sent a copy of the phone #'s I had to LBH>

Once again sorry about the inconveience but I think there's this guy named Murphey out there laying down the law.

Avid,

Murphey's law: "anything that CAN go wrong WILL go wrong".

I used to work with a guy named Murphy. He decided that Ronnie's law was even worse.

Ronnie's law: "even things that CAN'T go wrong WILL go wrong"  ;)

Congrats on retrieving some of your data, here's hoping you get your computer troubles straightened out soon.

Well,

The three mooks in a bassbus had our last board meeting today at Cabela's in PA. We had a great lunch, reviewed the itenerary, made some last minute adjustments and everyone got slapped around by the baitmonkey. Looks like we have the bases covered and we are counting down the days. A real pleasure to visit with the mooks today. It won't be long now! ;)

Alpster,

I think you guys are going to have a fun trip!   I'm betting on a few raspy "are we there yets"   ...lol   ;D

Wow what a week , Flukey and FBL sold me baits at morethen reasonble prices. got a couple of odds and ends at Cabela's in good company BOTH RONNIES and the BAIT MONKEY, the trip is planned and Catt sent me a load of stuff in the mail. Two stops on the highway Risk Kid and RW and then a mini caravan from Mephis to the Fork

I want to say something here I once said to a few freinds when I lived in New Orleans this is all about the kind of MEN ALPSTER AND CATT ARE. I hve never met a rude man from Louisiana I have met guys that were having a bad day but all were hospitable gentle men. When i first got to New Orleans a lot of people thought I was from the 9th ward b/c of my accent. I found out a lot of men went down to the 9th ward during WWII to make PT Boats and many stayed and this is when I first made this observation. I grew up in a neighborhood in Brooklyn, where our parents worked hard and never let on to how tough we really had it, none of us grew up feweling poor altough in hind site we were.

We were rich in appreciation and help for eacch other. So these native people of Louisiana are they are among the most generous people I have ever met. I went to NOLA for the first time for 18 days and saw Prof. Longhair for the first time and decided I needed to stay there and learn all I couild in this birth place of R&B. Within 2 weeks the local musicans had me an Apt. , ajob , working as a galley hand off shore and then when I got some cash together I had a landbound job and a drum kit. JUst like being in Brooklyn.

Now these two gentelmen from the Bayou have helped me in ways I can not even have dreamed of So all I can say is thanks and I will do my best to srnd Catt a Picture of my PB hanging off one of those baits

Only thing better than making friends is appreciating them. :)  In time, they become family and a man with a big family is a wealthy one.

BR is the epitomy of "share the wealth"

My daddy taught me at a very young age that you should treat every one you meet as a gentleman or lady and a friend until they prove to you otherwise. Why because there are only three things in life that matter God, family, and friends.

To everyone making this trek be careful, be safe and God bless

And to Glenn thank you for founding this wonderful web site

Hello everyone.  Newbie here, just found the site.  Looks like a great place to learn and meet folks.

It just so happens that my son, a neighbor and myself will be at Lake Fork from 3-21 thru 3-24.

If I bring a ball to the game, may I play?  Just kidding.  It would be nice to meet some of you and get some fishing advise.  I never pass up information, don't always use it, but sure do want it.  We will be in a black/white 2006 ZX 200 Skeeter.

We would like to be included in this group if possible.

Greg
