Best day this spring !

I caught 4 or 5 1-2lbers but hooked in to some good quality bass.

First half hour I was there, I swear I was fighting a nice 7-8lb bass, and poof, line just snapped. I had 8lb line shouldn't have done that!

After another 20-30min I hooked either the same one, or another of very close size, my first hula grub fish, but once again, after I got it within 4 ft of me, he got loose.

Some may call that a crappy day, but to me, it's the most action I've seen this spring or ever for that matter!

I did take pictures of 2 of the bass, one was a pretty large size, not sure how much it weighed, any guesses? I'm not good at guessing weight :-/

Then this once, smaller, but still a decent fight. Hula Grub fish!

Pictures suck cause they're on my cellphone and I was the only one there. But I tired =)

They were biting on a much quicker retrieve then usual for plastics, twas a fun day!

I from just rough estimate would say it was at least 4 maybe 4 1/2 , It felt very close in weight to the 5.6Lb that's in my avatar, but the other one was much longer, this one was only 20 1/2 inches. The other one had a few extra inches, though this one had more of a belly.

I'm so frustrated about the few that got off, I'm going back Friday

The camera is crap, and they are terrible pictures. It was much nicer in person, I want a real camera but I'm hardly able to afford GY products!  How much would you say? Like I said, It felt very close to my 5.6 but it's much shorter, but has a much thicker head and body. I hooked him 2wice before and sat on him for an hour until I got him , 3rd times a charm =)

I'm going to look on Google for a scale, any suggestions on good cheap ones? So we don't have to play this guessing game :)

Very nice bass.Looks like about 41/2 to 5lbs .Kinda hard to say from those pics.

I use a Berkly 50# digital scale (weights in ozs.) good scale for under $25 IMHO.

hey thanks guys, and turtle, is that very accurate? I've been reading mixed things about the ones that are 20-30 dollars. I only found a few on BPS, I think the brkly one is on there that you're talking about. Some good and some bad reviews. How long have you had yours for?

Hey Brokejew,

I've had mine a little over two years.I have'nt check it since last year. But,after reading your post you got me to wondering :-?. I got my 5#cast iron weight off my dumbell that I use to check it a couple times a year.5# on the money, checked it twice ;)I have had no problems with it at all.By far not the best there is but suites my needs just fine  :)
