Great Fishing Trip

Featured Replies

I went to my favorite lake today after it had been closed because the road slid out and made up lost time. Between me and my grandpa we caught 7 bass and 11 bluegill. Those aren't huge numbers but my grandpa caught an 18 inch bass and I caught a 22 inch, my new PB north of Georgia. Two bluegill were over 9 inches. For us it was a great day on our humble reservoir in southwest virginia...lol ;D

Heres a pic of the 22 inch. Ive not got a clue about the weight.PBbass.jpg

You're going to have to go out with me one day and teach me how to catch the big ones.

Ive got 3 baits that work in all of the local lakes: 3/8or 1/4 oz watermelon/pumkin/orange jigs, big jointed shad raps, and Heddon tiny torpedos. They cover everything and catch big fish.

Have you been to Big Cherry?

Sweet  :)

Don't worry about the weight the picture says plenty   ;)

Looks like a  new state record to me.

Too bad about not having a scale.  :-[
