Middle Tennessee Smallie

Featured Replies

Finally getting around to posting this.  I caught this biggun in six or seven foot of water off a point where on both sides it drops off to 30 feet or more.   Ruler had him at exactly 20 inches.  What a fight!

Nice! Always close their mouth and squeeze their tail to get an exact measurement. She may have been a little over 20 inches that way. Here in Florida, the game wardens always tell you to measure them that way. Heck, I don't keep them, but I fish Teneroc a lot and they make you fill out a creel sheet with the length of each fish. That's how the their biologists measure them.

I've never caught a big Smallmouth. Maybe when I'm up in Georgia, North Carolina and Tennessee this fall I'll get a chance to catch one.

thats what im talkin' about!!!  way to go man!!....im hoping to get a chance to hit the river after some smallies soon myself...hope to hook into a pig like that!!

Nice catch!

20" equates to about 4 lbs.
