Spinnerbait afternoon

Featured Replies

I went to lake this afternoon and couldn't get a bite on topwater baits. I was just too windy! I hate fishing in the wind! Then I rememberd some of you guys suggesting spinnerbaits in windy weather. Two casts and my first bass! I managed to catch 7 fish in all. 6 bass (3-6lbs.) and 1 perch! This site really helps with all the good recomendations you guys give! Thanks!

WOW!!!  Now that's the way to figure them out T-rig!  Wind is definitely a spinnerbait's friend.

Very nice fish T-rig.  I think spinnerbaits are lots of fun catching bass on.

Heck, I'm more impressed by the perch. That's a big un. -- JC

Thanks guys! I was just looking at the pic of the 6lber. and noticed how big it's back fin is compared to his body, or am I seeing things?  Kind of looks out of proportion. Then again it's tail was bent towards me.

Are you refering to the perch because the coloration of the bass looks normal to me?

I just thought I would post a pic of the perch as well  since I caught it on a spinnerbait

while bass fishing. Didn't want to start a new post in the other fish species section because of a silly perch. :)

Nice fish.  That is an impressive perch.  Is some of the fin a shadow on your shirt maybe :-/?
