OMG, NEW PB!

Featured Replies

Well day started off slow, very slow. I managed one bit eventually on the buzzbait, and my buddy hooked into one on a sweet beaver exact same time. Mine was just over 2, his was just over 1lb. I swithced to a bullribbbit, which seemed more practical due to the weeds. A couple of strikes, but all lost fish. On one particular cast, i got a strike, and the fish clearly missed the bait, and i continued my retrieve. Luckily i hit it again moments later, and i hooked into an ok fish. It made a bulldog run by the boat and eventually i got it up. HOLY $#!& the head on this thing! I got it in, and needless to say, new pb! And i just bought these baits today. I think i like them. This beats my old pb caught on a buzzbait. Any guesses on the weight of this fish? I also ended the day with a fish going 3 1/2 lbs. And caught 2 little guys going around 14 inches each. My buddy also caught another smallish bass. Well here is the 2lber i caught in the beginning

And the moment youve been waiting for, the fish of a lifetime, for a michigan guy like myself at least. Any guesses?

How do you know it's your PB? Don't tell me you weighed all the other fish but not the biggest or is this a contest  ;D ;D ;D ;D

That is a really really nice fish man. Congrats.

5 lbs 11 oz, big head, skinny body...but still one hell of a fish.  Congratulations and now you have something to chase after.  ;)

Regardless of the size that is a nice fish.

BTY, it looks like you could use a cheeseburger. Perhaps you should have kept one of those for dinner ;)

Just kidding dude!  You are just making us all look bad.

Well i did weight it and was wondering what results i would get. It was an ounce shy of 7lbs. But the head on this thing was unbelievable, i thought it was 8 or better for sure when i saw its mouth surface. I could fit both of my hands in its mouth. If it had a full belly with eggs, im sure it would be an 8lber. Lets wait and see what spring has in store..

infidel- i actually tried really hard to gain weight, its impossible!! I ate like a pig and lifted every day. I got up to 140lbs, but shrank back down to 132 after track season. I didnt get big, but i got my bench press up to 195lbs, which is totally necessary for hoisting monster fish like this.

Head looks all of 7lbs, but body is much smaller, and looks more like 6ish. I'd say for sure between 6-7. Congrats man!

Like I said, I'm just screwing with you. It think it is just funny because the stereotypical bass fisherman has a few pounds to lose. Enjoy it while you have it.
