Golf Cart Fishing - OHHH YEAH !

Featured Replies

Well my brother and I went fishing at a local private golf course this morning. The course is closed for some green and tee box maintenance. We even got permission to use a golf cart, which made bringing some extra things easier. We got started about 7 am, and we were done just before noon. To make a long story short, we caught 57 bass. I even caught one while trolling a spinnerbait from the golf cart, that's a first. About a dozen or so were 3 lbs or more. Most of them were caught on Yum Dingers or Tiki Stiks. My brother got the 2 biggest fish ( 6 lb 10 oz, 5 lb 6 oz ). I got one about 5 lb or so. We were on opposite sides of the pond , so I couldn't weigh it and I had to take my own picture. I thought the fishing might be good here because it's rarely fished, but I didn't expect this kind of productivity. You gotta love golf course fishing! ;D

dO THEY COME WITH CHAUFFERS?

Wouldn't that be a caddy?

Come to think of it that's not a bad idea, a caddie that runs the trolling motor. Muddy we may be on to something for those lake fork rentals. :)

You guys got rewarded for doing it legally!  Great fish.

Years ago my father and I were fishing on a golf course lake in Louisville, Kentucky.  It was early March, spitting sleet, and bitterly cold.

Dad pointed to some golfers on the other side of the lake and shook his head.  "Can you believe those idiots are out there playing golf in this weather?"

Very nice fish. I think I'll take up golfing as a hobby also.
