Hey Fellas: Me and Bruce out for the later part of the day into the evening. Things slow at first T Rigging Alurring Trick Sticks and I was also using a round jig head of some type Brent threw in with my last order and some curly tail worms. We caught a lot of dinks right off. I switched up and we went deep First time full out with a 5inch Watermelon?Red Lake Alurrring *** , I never really wacky rigged anything bigger than 4 inch stiks. I used a big azz red octupus hook. On my other rod I had that Jigging thing with a Crawfish kinda color Zoom Brush Hog. CLOBBERED EM WITH BOTH

We put 28 fishi in the boat, 12 keepers ( 15 inch on this lake) and I caught one 17 and one 17 1/2 inch bass bruce caught a pair of 16's WHAT A FALL DAY All fish returned to the lake NOT ONE GUT HOOK TODAY!!!!!!

Thanks I found a good way to find fish in the fall. I looked at logs from last trips, last year mostly. We caught some big fish but very few. So we fished wwhere we usually don't in the fall, and it paid off  :

I read an article not long ago talking about fishing new spots in order to weed them out. It obviously worked for you!

I'm still waiting to have a good day.  This heat has been a killer.  Finally got some rain today so the outlook is good for the weekend.  Congrats Muddy on the catching.  Days like that keep you coming back for more.

Gotta love it when the harvest moon ( a sure sign for northern fish to start feeding for the winter) and a warm front team up.  we couldn't miss them if we tried this morning too!!  Nice to see the wealth spread out!
