One Day, Five Hours Driving, Two Lakes, Four Fish.

Featured Replies

My buddy and I decided to skip a tourny and spend the weekend doing some fun fishing. Headed down to the San Diego area to spend the weekend fishing down there. Got to the first lake Firday morning and found out that the lake that we were going to fish on Saturday was closed so we figured that we would just fish the same lake for two days. Spent half the day at El Capitan and it was slow. Some small drop shot fish and only two keepers by 12:30. We decided to just head home and catch a couple of hours in the afternoon at our home lake and then we would head to a Ventura County Lake on Saturday. I ended sticking two keepers at our home lake. I'll post Saturday's report once I load the pics.

First fish Friday morning. Caught on a Spittin Image

If I was promised 4 fish that size, I would drive 5 hours right away. In fact, it's 10:30pm I'd leave right now and drive 5 hours for 4 fish like that!
