Made it out to Pickwick yesterday (12/30/07) from 11-5 p.m..  Caught another boat load of dinks (25 or so) and 8 keepers.  The biggest was 16" (did not weigh him), and the best five went 8.5 pounds.  Caught them on green pumpkin w/ red flake and watermelon w/ red flake brush hogs.  Forgot the camera at home, so they had to visit the house and then be released.

Huh??????  They were lucky they did not see the filet knife, and I took them back to the water.

Lighten up guys. I know we all hate seeing BIG bass kept, but it doesn't hurt a thing to keep some small or medium size fish. Regulations are made by professional wildlife experts on what it takes to maintain healthy bass populations. Give them some credit for a job well done and leave the guys that want to keep a few alone.

Also, note that these fish were RELEASED.

On the otherhand...most members of this Forum really don't want to see a "stringer" of bass. You might do everyone a favor by not posting those pics here, it just causes friction.

I think we have a little confusion here.  Mike is just saying,..."if you aren't gonna eat them, here's a tip help keep them healthy for release."  (And it's a good one.)  

Is Pickwick a big tourny lake or just a big lake?  It's name is awfully familiar but not sure why.

The lake, especially the "river" portions below Wilson Dam and Pickwick Dam (technically Kentucky Lake) are know for trophy class smallmouth.
