Opinions on Lucky Craft Bull Fish

I have it, can 't give any positive nor negative comments on it cuz ........ I 've only tried it once to see how it moved, not really fished with it in depth, it moves cool, makes a good wake but that 's about what I can say, been busy ketchin ' them with Daiwa 's Dead or Alive.

Like Raul I bought one and have thrown it a little to see what it looked like, since I just got it a couple of weeks ago I haven't fished it hard as I project this to be a good stained water bait to use in the summer. I've been a huge fan of the Excalibur Wake Crank and this seems like an oversized version of that type of bait or this bait might be thought as LC's answer to the Dep's Buzzjet. Since we're in the fall season in Michigan and in 6-8 weeks I'll probably be looking at ice I have a feeling it won't see any action till next summer.

I've really enjoyed fishing wakebaits this year.  I've collected quite a few and am looking forward to using them even more next season.  I think I'll get a couple and see for myself how they perform.

don't forget the roumba's.

nothing like the bullfish but, a lotta fun in the world of wakebaits.

Already got a bunch of Roumbas.  Love 'em!

I also have one and like some of the other guys only used once or twice. I love my gan graft osa's 115 too much. :)

The bull seems to work.

Trig, what is that bait in the second pic? I see it has a jointed body, but thats about all I can tell from the pic.

Also, where did that Lucky Craft in the first pic come from?  I dont see that color offered at the sites I visit.

Thanks.

  • Super User

I believe the color is called Aluminium CF ghost gill.

The bait in the second pic is a gan craft osa 115.

Even small bass don't hesitate to hit this lure.

That 's what I 've ben saying my buddies about the Dead or Alive and the reason why my other big baits haven 't seen much action, what for ? I 'vee been slamming them with the Daiwa now that I 'm back into activity.

Not exactly a tail per se, it comes with an interchangeable prop/blade.tail.

What about that Gan Craft?  Seems like the back end is just a nub, not really a "tail"...

The osa hast a little hard tail that wiggles on retrieve. Here a pic, below a LC clutch for comparison.

T-rig I haven't had any luck with my OSA yet.  Do you always fish them with the snap.  I haven't fished it a lot.

  • Super User

Yes, I always use a snap. Topwater season is done over here but in texas I'm sure you still can catch them with the osa.  Just keep at it!  :) I caught most of my fish this summer with the osa and buzzjet.
