here is a four or five pounder i got from my secret lake on thursday.  i got it on a denny brauer jig and rage tail chunk.  even though i went night fishing i got in the morning

while not a big fish for this lake it was the biggest fish i had caught that day.

Jig fish are always something to be proud of, regardless of size, fish looks about 2 1/2lbs.

Definitely a nice looking fish!  

If you can't get a scale, get a cloth measuring tape and get the length and girth of the fish.  There are formulas that can give you the weight...  It's not 100% accurate but usually very close.

Nice fish; I agree it's about 2-2.5 lbs. Buy a digital scale as the spring scale I have is off from about 7 lbs and under.

That is a nice fish no matter what it weighs. That is a beautiful fishing spot.

got out today with the scale(an old berkley) and got a .19 kilo bass on a jig though it turns out this scale weighs a 1.7 kilo dumbell as 1.5 kilos.  i'll post pictures later today or maybe tomorrow.  i just need to upload the picture but i don't have much time as i am waking up to fish at 3:25 tomorrow the earliest my parents will let me wake up :'(

i hope to be able to fish a jig near the grassbeds at gravelly point and the washington channel on the potomac river.

Nice lookin fish, try to weigh them in pounds. Also, keep fishin that jig and you'll get your 4, 5, 6, 10lber. Jigs are my favorite, and they catch me nice fish
